"So, your saying your dad can fuse with anyone he wants, even without the suit?" Max questioned.
"Yup"
"In that case, couldn't he and my dad take the suit off, then just fuse back together, that way me and Mark could use it together?" Max continued to ask.
"Well, I guess so..." Luke looked puzzled, "But, we're already stuck together. So what would be the point?"
"No offense Luke..." Mark started talking, "but me and Max wanted to spend time on our own..."
"But just yesterday the two of you were inseparable, and couldn't wait to get split..." Luke crossed their arms, getting a bit frustrated.
"That's because we didn't know if we would ever come apart again." Max sighed. He tried uncrossing their arms, but Luke wouldn't budge.
"Ya." Mark continued, "We kind of just want to be alone for a bit..."
"Ok, fine, whatever…” Luke rolled his eyes, “All of you can spend all the time you want with your other halves, and I’ll just stay by myself in my room…” With that, Luke leaned forward slowly pulling his way out of Mark and Max’s body. He pushed away with his own arms until his feet and legs were free. Luke stomped off, passing Ethan and Scott as they unsuccessfully tried to get in his way before he headed upstairs.
“Luke, wait!” Ethan called.
“You guys…” Scott grunted.
Ethan tried to follow Luke, while Scott tried walking over to his two boys. Trying to move in two directions caused them to pull back together like elastic. After a second of disorientation, Scott then tried walking upstairs, while Ethan tried going over to Mark and Max. After bumping and pushing against each other, almost falling, they stood motionless looking at each other.
“Who do we deal with first?” they both said in unison.
