As you watch the family of cats snoozing peacefully on the floor, you realize that you haven't had your fill of fun with them yet.
You jump up and fly over and land on top of the female calico's head. You've taken a liking to being wicked and hope to find proof for yourself that the man's concious mind is indeed trapped within the body of the female cat. After all, whats the fun of tormenting the pitiful tranformed mortals if they're not aware enough to suffer it?
Getting down onto all fours, you use your elbows to give the calico a firm scatch behind the ears. At first the cat is startled awake, but with a wave of the wand, you settle her into contented purrrs as you scratch her in the perfect spots. Knowing that the eyes tell all, you promptly jump down onto her muzzle to look into the former family-man's eyes. At first look they seem to be nothing but the yellow slitted eyes of an ordinary housecat, but you sense something intense in them... a sense of urgency... something agonizing behind its stare. There's no doubt that there's a mental struggle going on inside it head.
Satisfied that the man's mind is still intact within, you look straight into its eyes and say "How do you like your new family Mrs. Kitty." The high pitched sharpness of your voice surprizes you at first, but then you snicker, realizing the irony of how something so small could possess so much power to destroy. You continue stroking the calico across its muzzle, causing it to send out a flurry of purrs, while also noticing that your talking had made the anguish behind her eyes even more intense. "So how did you like the little mousie I fed you earlier tonight? Was she tasty? I hope she didn't give you a tummy ache as she struggled when you swalled her whole," you say wickedly. The calico's only outward response is more purring...
Meanwhile, the purring of her mother has waken the little kitten. Quite suddenly and unexpectedly, the kitten jumps up and pounces you, pinning you to the ground! Fortunately for you, the kittens intentions are purely playful and it lets you go. The pounce, however, was not a light one, and you groan as you slowly climb to your feet. The kitten, plenty amused, gives you a cute little meow.
That's when you notice the same character in its eyes as well.
Thinking about the situation, you ponder if you have the power to transform beings without causing them to lose control of their bodies. In some cases, you think, that might be most fun.
You decide to test it for yourself. Grinning evily, you tell the mother calico, "You shouldn't be burdoned by this single kitten right now, when you'll soon be expecting an entire litter!"
Then, with a wave of the wand, you concentrate on bringing the daughter's mind into control of her kitten body. Promptly, the kitten hisses at you visciously, and pounces at you.
"Okay, that's all the proof I need!", you think to yourself, and you quickly wave the wand at the kitten in mid-pounce. Its hissing muffles into silence as the kitten is instantly transformed into a smaller, softer, plush kitten... a plush kitten with beady eyes.... eyes still filled with that odd intensity
"Bad kitty!", you scold at the plush. With all your might, you kick at the small kitten plush... just enough to catch the mother calico's interest. Quickly forgetting her missing kitten, she pounces on the plush and nibbles happily on her new chew toy.
This display makes you roar out in laughter, as your lust for causing anguish grows. You glance over at the mother, busily working her new chew toy, and then over to the father calico, still asleep on the floor. Then you look outside the window, smiling at the thought that there's still plenty of fun to be had.
After all, the night is still young...
