You hear something… a voice. “How is she? Will she make it?” Another voice answers “She’s going to be fine, she’s lucky that you didn’t drive so fast” Your ears now begins to be become filled by all kinds of noises. “Thank god for that… can I see her?” the first voice asks. “Of course but I’m not sure if she’s going to be awake” answers the second. You hear a door open and you weakly open your eyes. At first everything is blurry, but after a couple of second everything gets clearer. You are lying on your side with your arms and legs in front of you on some kind of a table. You must be in some kind of a hospital. “Oh, she has already woken up” You look in confusion at two men standing on the other side of the room. One of them is a short, bald man with glasses who is dressed like a doctor. Next to him there’s a normal built blond guy, Wearing jeans and a “Star wars” t-shirt. “Where I’m I? What happened?” You try to ask, but the word won’t come out of your mouth. Why can’t I talk? You ask yourself and the answer comes to your mind when you see the paws that belong to you. Shit, I’m a dog! You try to get up on your legs but as you try you feel a sting of pain in your chest area. You let out a canine yelp and the bald man runs to you.
“Easy, girl, easy…” He says with a calm voice as he gently strokes your fur along your side. This actually makes you a bit calmer, but your ears still are pulled back a little. The other man walks to stand next to the veterinarian. “There’s on thing that’s been bugging me ever since I took her here. Isn’t strange that she had that shirt on her? I mean why do you put clothes on a dog?” The blond man looks the shorter man. The short man just shakes his head slightly. “People do all kind of strange things these days…”
While the two men talks you are concentrated on something else… your nose has picked up a smell, a very familiar smell. The door suddenly opens. Someone burst into the room. “There she is! My little sweetie!” A woman rush trough the room towards you, forcing the two men to step aside. It’s Ruth and she’s human once more! As you are too weak to move, you’re unable to resist her hug attack. “Take it easy, she has a broken rib!” The veterinarian tells Ruth. Some kind of nurse that walked in right after Ruth explains to the veterinarian that Ruth is the owner of the dog. You hear Ruth’s voice inside your head as she hugs and snuggle with you. “Now behave like the good dog you are and there might be a chance for employment as a guard for you too”
