Standing there for a moment longer, you see the three werewolves almost fully
transformed now, waiting for your visual decision before they made their move. You knew
you could try to run out of the house, onto the grounds and hopefully off of the property.
However, you remembered how fast and agile the creatures were from watching plenty of
werewolf movies. You know there was no way that you would make it much further than
where you stood there, so you sighed deeply then ran back into the doorway to stand with
the others.
Standing at the threshold of the door, you could feel the power of the moon as well
as the power of the house, more like the curse placed upon the house! There was such
pain, such anguish, such hatred... but it was strange. Those feelings that you could feel
were not coming from the house, but from those within it. It seemed as though the people
there, all who were there before him, hated the fact that they were forced into being the
creatures that stood beside you and one that you too would soon become. Knowing that
you made the choice to go back into the house would leave you at peace with what you
would become eventually.
Looking around you, you could see the three werewolves transform back into their
human shapes, albeit in tattered and ruined clothing. Shocked by this, you stare at them
intently and wait to be able to ask them questions.
After a few minutes, each of them were completely human in appearance and you
placed all of your attention and focus on the main butler. As you do so, the two others
could feel something coming from you and decided to leave the two of you alone.
"Tell me something, is this normal for you to change back immediately after
undergoing the transformation into the beast?"
"No sir, it has not since I have been afflicted by this curse, or gift depending on how
you look at it. To answer you more fully though, whomever is in possession of that bed
you slept in, is said to have dominion over the transformation process."
"How long have you been like this?"
"Sir, it has been a very LONG time and I am afraid I have lost track after the first two
hundred years."
"Two... two hundred...? Wow, you look pretty damned good for being well over two
hundred years old!"
The butler smiled, his cheeks reddening a bit. "Well thank you sir! To answer a
question that I can sense coming, we stop aging at thirty five or so, since that is really
when the body starts to decay, even before death. Also, if you aren't thirty five before your
first transformation, your body either ages or regresses back to that programmed age...
even if you are an infant or have seen your fair share of days."
"Wow, that is good to know! So what now, I mean what happens?"
"Well sir, the first thing is for you to undergo the initial transformation to claim your
dominion as well as your people. As for when that happens, it would seem that it is at
your discretion. If you wanted to have fun, like Tabitha had suggested, we could have that
arranged for you right away."
"I guess I will..."
