"I'm going as an auguste," said Sally, "and Dan's going to be a hobo."
"A classic pairing. Excellent." The owner wrote something down in his ledger. "Come back two days from now and well be ready for you."

Two days later Dan and Sally came back to the store. "Welcome back," said the owner. "Come with me, and we'll get you ready."
They fllowed him to a room in the back of the store. An old woman who could have been Mrs. Claus in a sweater and jeans and a very young woman who looked like Christina Aquilara, standing next to tw chairs surrounded by mirrors. "Since there are two of you, my wife will be assisted by our granddaughter."
Dan and Sally sat down in the chairs. The old woman worked on Dan, the younger on Sally.
Quickly and deftly, the old woman painted a small white muzzle around Dan's mouth. Then she painted white around the hollows of his eyes, and black eyebrows above them. Dan giggled as she worked on him; as much on impulse as amusment. She surrounded his muzzle with black, giving him a 'beard.' As an afterthought, she painted his lower lip black too.
Meanwhile, Sally was given a white muzzle and white around her eyes two only bigger and bolder. Her lips were painted bright red,and as they were colored, stretched into a wide grin. Sally didn't know why, she just felt like grinning. Next her cheeks were painted red two, and three black dots, freckles, were painted in each one. She was given black arching eybrows and a vertical blue bar was painted in each of her white eyepatches. Fianlly the rest of her face was colored with a pink skin toner.
"Jeanie, could you get the nose and foot graphers, please?" the old woman said. Her granddaughter nodded and walked off. Jeanie returned wheelling a strange boxlick object.
"I'm going to have to remove your shoes," the old woman said. She took off the couples shoes, and placed their feet into similar looking smaller metal boxes. She lugged the boxes into the main object, then took two cables and inserted one into the left nostril of both of them. "Just sit back and close your eyes, this will only be a minute."
They did as she said. A click sounded and Dan and Sally both felt strange yet plesant sensations going through their noses and feet. A minute later they the both felt the devices being removed. Opening their eyes, they looked in the mirrors and at each other. Both of them had bulbous red clown noses and ridicuously long clown feet!
Sally and Dan just looked at each other for several seconds. Then they laughed; the two of them looked SOOOOO funny....
