Jimmy felt so small and helpless as his sister stared down at him.
Suddenly, Jimmy started at the sound of the doorbell from the front door downstairs.
Judy, her face lighting with a grin, slipped the balloon into her pocket.
"We will have to do this later, little brother," she said. "That will be my friends from school."
Jimmy felt a surge of fear. He had hoped that this might have been a chance to seek some help since Judy was being so stubborn.
He wouldn't get help from any of her irritating friends.
"We'll just have to say you are my bratty little cousin," Judy said.
"No!" Jim backs away and trips on the pile of his clothes.
Judy laughs. "We better get you something to wear. Lucky for you mom keeps all our old clothes packed in crates in the attic."
The doorbell is still ringing.
"Aren't you going to let your friends in?"
"Yeah, I better do that first," she answered. "Wait here."
Jim rolled his eyes. Where did she think he would go looking like this?
He grabbed his T-shirt off the floor and wrapped his toddler-sized body in it to ward off the chill.
He cannot believe he is at Judy's mercy. All she needed to do to end his nightmare is blow into the balloon. He cringed. He knows he is going to have to control his emotions and not antagonize her.
Suddenly, the door opened again. Judy lowered something into his hands.
Jimmy tossed the item on the floor. "I am not wearing pull-ups!"
"Don't be silly! You are a little boy, and that is what a little boy wears."
His face contorts into a pout and tears squeeze out of his eyes.
Judy remains unimpressed. "Unless you want my friends to see you naked?"
Jimmy grabs the pull-ups and manages to get them onto his toddler frame.
"I didn't think so," Judy said smugly.
