Your nerves get the best of you. "I gotta go!" you say, and run off towards the woods.
"Oh no you don't!" Geoffory yells and chases you,"I told you he was a spy! He's going to
tell Ulnok where we are!"
"Don't kill him!" calls the nameless she-coon, joining the chase at the rear. That
statement only makes you more scared and you run faster, weaving through the woods.
Finally, you don't hear them any more and duck into a cluster of short pine trees. Getting
on your hands and knees, you crawl underneath their bottom branches. Suddenly, you are
in a clearing. Standing up, you notice that the pine trees are a head taller than you, a
perfect place to hide for the night. There is a larger oak tree in the center of the clearing.
As you walk towards it, you hear a rustling, but there is no wind tonight. Suddenly, two
glowing red eyes pop open on the bough of the tree.
"You know," a voice says from the vicinity of the eyes,"I chose you for a reason"
"What?" you ask, dumbfounded. A black figure climbs down from the tree. From the pale
moonlight, you see another anthro-coon. But this one is completely black like the night
shadows. You turn to run, but he has appeared in front of you.
"It was no accident that you found this park," it informs you,"I chose you to be the only
person who could see it because I sensed bravery. I would hate to be made a liar."
"Wh-who are you? What's going on here?"
"Many call me the forest spirit. My real name is much to powerful for you to recite and,
frankly, a bit of a tongue-twister. You may call me Terel. My job is to protect these woods
and their inhabitants. However, the lycanthrope king, Ulnok, has declared war with the
raccoon people so that he may control all of this forest. I have chosen you to be a
guardian over my people. I shall change you into a raccoon like me and I will give you my
powers. If you shall accept, that is".
"There he is!" shouts Geoffery from behind you,"Up ahead!"
Once again, the unnamed female yells,"Don't kill him! I can sense he is good!"
What should you do?
