Andy slowly came to. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the caretaker slowly stirring a pot. His groin area felt sticky and he couldn't move his body at all. Above all, Andy was terrified.
The Caretaker grabbed the pot and moved over to Andy. He started applying the hot wax to his abdomen. Andy tried to cry out in pain, but all that came out was a deep grunt.
"There, there...this will be over in a few minutes, I promise," said the Caretaker.
Much like he did with Mitchel, he worked over Andy's body, reforming it, only this time adding more muscle definition.
"Originally, I was going to have you be Batman to your friend's Robin, but then as I was going through your things, I noticed your wallet, with the Superman insignia on it, and it hit me, you would make a great Man of Steel," said The Caretaker.
Andy was a huge comic book fan, and Superman was by far his favorite. He had even dressed up as him for a couple Halloweens. A couple times, he even daydreamed of being Superman. But being turned into a wax Superman for some madman's display was too much. This can't be happening, he thought.
The Caretaker pulled out the special paints again, starting with a base coat of royal blue, carefully painting in a chest to ankle unitard on the boy. While he waited for the paint to dry, he reloaded the sprayer and painted in the red trunks. Then he pulled out a stencil and painted in the red and yellow "S" on his chest. When both the trunks and symbol dried, they appeared raised over the painted unitard, giving it a great, raised look.
For the finishing touches, he added the long, red cape, with a shiny yellow "S" on the back and the yellow belt around his waist. He carefully styled Andy's hair, adding the small spitcurl dangling over his forehead. He finished by adding a bright red leather boot to each of Andy's feet.
"Absolutely perfect, if I do say so myself," said the caretaker, feeling quite pleased with the results.
