Zack stooped victoriously over the perfect duplicate of Superman keeping it held firmly to his cheek. He kept up the interrogation but the wax figure simply defied his questioning.
Within his wax prison, Andy could feel the intense heat from the prop which, in comparison, made the conversion process with the hot knife feel like a last flickers of a campfire. He had to try and find a way to convey that it was him within the wax, but could only observe passively as Zack looked down at him with bitter anger. He couldn't even look away or close his eyes.
Suddenly a kick from nowhere struck Zack squarely in the outstretched arm sending the green rock flying from Zack's grip. Zack, ignored the pain in his arm to leap in the direction of flight taken by kryptonite chunk. Knowing all too well that if he lost that piece then he'd be no match for the man of steel.
Luckily enough, being a seasoned member of the baseball team, he managed to catch it before it could shatter on the hard floor. This time he held onto it more tightly and surveyed the area to view his mystery assailant.
There in front him stood the wax effigy of the boy wonder in battle stance, and behind him a horde of other wax figures were shuffling in his direction. Zack knew from the phone conversation that it had to be Mitchel in the wax Robin so he daren't harm the figure lest Mitch got hurt too.
They were now blocking his way to the basement entrance, he was no match for both Robin and Superman so there was only one sensible choice. He had to back off and find a different way to the basement.
He backed into the shadows like Batman would have and ran like crazy.
The wax double of Robin helped Superman back up and sprinted to retrieve their quarry.
Down in the basement the Caretaker readied another of his diabolical mechano-alchemy devices to use on Ben.
