Ty stood outside Daphne's room for a moment considering what was about to happen very carefully. Perhaps she was having the same thoughts as he was after all. They were very close, had grown up together. Perhaps Daphne would indulge some of Ty's boyish curiosity. Having her boyfriend dump her might make Daphne realize she really did love her little brother... that way. In any case, Ty was enjoying the control he had over a hot blonde girl he had made. And so he plunged forth, knowing that he had made Daphne "consider things" and that if he didn't like the outcome he could just change it anyway.
He knocked on her closed door, noting with mirth that Dustin's door poster of a metal band was now a fantastical pink unicorn painting.
There a heavy sigh, and then Daphne invited him in. "Come in, bro."
Ty entered Daphne's room and found her sitting on the edge of her bed with her hands clasped in her lap. She looked like a tortured woman.
"Close the door." Daphne asked, and Ty did so.
"Look, about the bathroom thing, I just hadn't seen you like that for a while, so I..."
"Shhh." Daphne whispered, offering a weak smile, and patted a spot beside her on the bed. "Let's talk."
Ty stepped in and sat on the edge of the bed with Daphne. The once proudly male room was filled with pink and girly items. Ty resisted laughing.
"I love you, you know that?" Daphne began. "I've looked out for you as best as a big sister can. Tried to make your shit life here better, right?"
Ty nodded, and saw Daphne staring at him with true affection.
"I forget you're growing up." Daphne smirked. "I look at you and I still see my innocent little foster brother. I guess that's why you shocked me so much."
Ty sighed. "Look, I shouldn't have said it."
"No... I..." Daphne sighed and put her head in her hand. "I... liked it. It made me feel happy."
Ty feigned shock and his jaw dropped. "W-What? You..."
She shook her head. "I know, I know. It's just... my mom's a gambling drunk, my dad's never here, and when he is he's a prick. My boyfriend ditched me for some slut cheerleader who puts out."
"So... what are you..." Ty paused.
"I realized you... well, you've always been good to me, bro. You've always been there for me, and made me feel good, and... and..."
Ty looked into Daphne's eyes and had his answer. He could so use this vulnerable moment of hers to his advantage. "You feel the same way." Ty finished.
"I... love you." She looked at him and smiled sheepishly. "I love you the same way."
Ty couldn't resist, he leaned forward and kissed Daphne on the cheek. She blushed even redder.
"Promise me this will be our secret. Please?"
"I promise, Daphne. I sincerely promise." Ty took her hand, and their fingers intertwined.
Daphe gulped, and smiled. "I can't believe we're doing this." She giggled. "It's so wrong."
"But it feels right, doesn't it?" Ty grinned, pleased with the outcome. He willed Daphne to surrender her last bit of doubt and run with it.
"It does..." She said heavily, and closed her eyes. "Kiss me, Ty. Show me how you feel."
