You just stare forward, unable to believe what had happened. You
wished for a twin, and got a conjoined twin. You were half tempted to
tear up the magic piece of paper right now, and end the wish. But, a
part of you didn't want that. That part reasoned that you always
wanted a twin, and having a conjoined twin, even though it was
unexpected, might not be all that bad once you get used to it. You
pocketed the piece of magic paper.
While your twin was busy taking down notes, your brain buzzed with all
sorts of questions. Obviously your twin, and everyone around you
thought that this was the way it always had been. How could you tell
your twin that this was all a wish? Would he notice something was
different about you? Did he already notice? What would happen to him
if you did end the wish? You messaged your head in frustration. This
was going to be hard, but hopefully it is worth it?
"Alright class, Pop Quiz time!" The teacher yelled. That last phrase
brought you back into reality. There was a loud moan from the class.
The teacher ignored it, and continued, "This covers everything up to
this point. If you have done all of your homework, then this should be
easy." The teacher handed each row the a stack of papers. The students
, mechanically, passed them down.
The girl, in front of you, extended the last quiz out. "Jason, Jordan,
do one of you want to grab it?" Before you could grab it, your left
hand reached out and snatched it. You still weren't used to that.
"Thanks Emily" your twin, Jason, replied. He placed the quiz on the
desk, and wrote his and your name in the corner.
So thats what his name is, you thought. Maybe I shouldn't have left
the naming up to mom and dad. Why did they give us matching names?
Jason smiled at you, "You ready?"
Sheepishly, you replied, "Yeah." The two of you then began to answer
the questions. You argued on a few of them, but most of the time you
were able agree. You finished long before anyone else, so you spent
the rest of the time talking. To your surprize, you found it very comfortable talking with Jason, despite you being unused to your
physical closeness.
Once everyone was finished, the teacher took back all of the quizzes.
Jason and you shared a hopeful glance. You were both positive that you
got a good score. He gave us our homework assignment, and then the
bell rang. Jason glared at me. "Don't think I forgot. Since I took
notes in this class. Your taking them in English."
