At his office on the other side of town Mitch was puting the finishing touches on his presentation before heading to the meeting with management. After about five minutes he began to notice that his Word document was riddled with countless red and green squigles indicating mispelled words and bad grammer. As he stared it his mistakes he began to realise that he did not really know how most of the words were spelled. In fact just trying to read the words on the screen was becoming a taxing exercise. Figuring that he was just overworked, Mitch ran to the restroom to splash some water on his face.
When Mitch looked in the mirror he immediately knew something was wrong. He seemed to have lost an inch or two in height. His suspicions were confirmed when he noticed that his shirt and pant were clearly a size or so too large for his new frame. As if on cue, his clothes began to shift and change.
First, Mitch's tie disappeared. Then, the sleeves on his expensive long sleeved cotton dress shirt began to shrink up in to the shirt until they become short sleeves. Panicking, Mitch attempted to remove the shirt, but as he reached for the buttons they disappeared and the shirt slowly began to fuse down the center. Next, Mitch felt movement as his collar receded into a slight V-neck. The baggy shirt did not shrink to his new 5-8 frame but instead began to gain some excess material. The shirt Mitch was wearing had started as white but quickly shifted to cold black at the same time as material changed from cotton to shiny nylon. Mitch looked in the mirror and found himself wearing a baggy, shinny-black, nylon shirt, but the changes were far from finished. Small holes began to appear and the front and back of the shirt became like mesh. The number 25 became screen-printed in gold on the front, back, and shoulders. Fleur-de-lis' formed on each of his baggy sleeves and the Reebok logo formed above them. Just them Mitch realized his dress shirt was becoming a baggy football jersey. The name BUSH stitched itself onto the back between his shoulders. A tag appeared on the bottom left of the new jersey indicating it was size large. Finally his now gold collar reappeared and the NFL Equipment patched formed at the center of the V-neck. Mitch's new Reggie Bush Saints jersey was complete. Just then Mitch noticed movement in his loins.
Mitch unbuttoned his dress pants allowing his underwear to come into view. He had arrived at work wearing a pair of fresh white briefs, but as he watched they began to shift and change. The briefs actually began to tighten around his crotch while simultaneously inching down his thighs. Mitch watched the waistband widen as the briefs shifted from cotton to a polyester spandex blend. Finally the words Under Armour appeared around the waistband and Mitch found himself clad in a pair of boxerjocks.
Still holding on to the waste of his pants Mitch felt them begin to squirm under his grasp. As soon as Mitch released his grip, the fly began to close, fusing shut, and then disappeared all together. Mitch watched as his belt disappeared and then felt much less constricted as his slack’s waistband became elastic. Frightened by the continuing changes Mitch started to back away from the mirror, but with every step he could hear a loud “swoosh” not unlike the sound of polyester rubbing together. When Mitch found the courage to look down his suspicions were confirmed. His expensive dress pants had completely shifted into a pair of black trackies. He watched helplessly as three raised white stripes raced down the outside of each pant leg and the Adidas logo formed itself mid thigh on the left leg.
