“Amber!” Bryan howls into the night as he begins to use all off his powers to get lose from the chain that keeps him from meeting the bitch. “Bryan, shush! Don’t make me come out there!” The musher warns the malamute from inside his tent. Bryan calms down a little bit or at least quiet down a little, but instead of howling he begins to chew on his harness, trying to get it off. After a couple of minutes of constant chewing the harness suddenly breaks and Bryan crawls, with much difficulty out of his harness. He’s now free from the chain as it was attached to the harness that he no longer wears. He looks down on the tattered harness on the ground and smiles. Then he runs into the storm so he can find his bitch again and soon he can no longer be seen
The storm has calmed down and it’s early in the morning. The dog team in the camp is suddenly awakened by the commotion their musher is making. He’s holding a torn harness in his gloved hands and the dogs see and smell that he’s angry. He begins to call out Bryans name, but Bryan is no were to be seen. ”What do you think happened to Bryan?” Becky asks Iiumni. “I think he escaped and went back to Amber, where ever she is” Iiumni tells the bitch.
Damn thinks the musher. I don’t now which would be worse: Bryan trying to hurt Keula or Bryn reaching civilization, when I know that he will slowly regain his human form and mind without the harness. But on the other hand, it has happened before and it wasn’t so bad the musher thinks. The musher chuckles quietly as he thinks of the man that used to belong to the team, a man that became classified as insane, when he went on telling the story of how he was transformed into a husky by a magical harness. For a short moment the musher almost feels sorry for the man, even if he don’t haven’t been locked in as a mad man, he’s still a bit of an outcast.
Several about a km away from the camp, Harry Taylor rides his dogsled when he suddenly sees something grey and white in the snow. He commands the dogs to halt and get off the sled. He walks up to the thing he saw and begin to examine it. “What are you doing here, my little canine friend?” He asks to himself as he sees that the thing in the snow is a grey and white malamute, parlty covered by snow. The malamute slowly lifts his head and look at Harry. Harry cautiously, as he doesn’t know if this dog will bite or not, checks the dog for any ID, but he founds nothing. “What are you doing out here all by yourself? Where’s your master?” Harry asks, squatting in front of the dog.
Bryan begins to feel really weird, after he got lost in the storm he decided to lie down and wait it out and now he’s awaken by an unknown human. Strange human thoughts have begun to arise into his mind and canine ideas have begun to fade away. But the strangest thing is that the human barking is actually starting to make sense. “How about this: I’ll take you to town and hopefully your master will find you there and pick you up. How does that sound?” He asks Bryan with a smile. Bryan sits up something tells him that he should follow this human. “Sound good” Bryan says in human without even thinking. Both Bryan and The human get a surprised expression on their faces. “D-did you just talk?” Harry says as his face turns white. Bryan thinks for a few seconds, his mind searches for an answer. “Yes?” Bryan tries, wondering if he got the human bark right. Harry stands up and backs away from the dog as if it would bite him any minute. His horrified eyes look deeply into the two dog eyes. “What are you?” Harry asks, not able to take his eyes of the malamute.
