You flutter into a bar, and notice a man and a woman sitting at a table in the back. You've become more sensitive to body language since your transformation, and you can tell right away that they're not a couple. You move closer to hear what the woman is saying.
"I can't find anybody" she is complaining "every woman I ever try to have a relationship with is either a cheater or a screwed-up closet case. Why can't I find someone like you?"
The man laughs. "Yes, wouldn't that be great. The only reason we're not in a relationship is that you're not hetero and I'm not a girl. Sorry I don't know how to fix that--I would if it wasn't so much work."
You can see into their souls, and your realize that they have been friends for over twenty years, and that they are true soulmates. Neither will ever form a relationship with a lover as close as their friendship with each other. The only thing keeping them apart is that their bodies and sexualities aren't a match.
That can be fixed, and its a lot less work than the man thinks. You can't change the woman's sexuality, as you can only change people as part of changing their sex, so it looks like the man will be the one changing. You decide to take it more slowly and carefully this time, as two people's happiness is involved.
You look into the woman's mind, and see what kind of woman she's physically attracted to. You look into the man's mind, and with an ability you have just developed you see his anima, the feminine soul in every man, as the animus is the masculine soul in every woman. Very slowly, very gently you begin changing him. A slight rise in his chest. A slight lengthening, and reddening (she likes redheads) of his hair. A slight psychological change, as he ceases to think of his male identity as something that defines him.
His body hair begins to disappear. His butt gets a little plumper (she likes curvy women) and his hips a bit wider. The facial structure changes. You begin the tricky work on recreating the internal organs. A stranger might still see him as a man, but you know you have created a womb within him.
"What's happening to you?" the woman asks, alarmed.
"What?" he says "Oh, I think I'm turning into a girl." You have ensured that he face the situation with no fear or trepidation. He feels his penis and testicles withdrawing into his body and an opening emerging between his legs. His chest has now developed into something unmistakably feminine.
"Yes" says the new woman, and her voice is high and clear. "I think I'm a woman now." You have used your powers so that both parties will accept the change without wondering how it came about.
The two women lean over the table, and kiss.
