Co-Author's Note: After some difficult times involving my computer, here's another update. It'll probably be kind of short, since I'm having a brain fart at the moment, probably from my O marathon.
gJennifer, have a seat. I have something to tell you about your mother.h
Jennifer swallowed a bit and held her breath. Whenever people did this, she knew it couldn't be good. She carefully set herself down next to Carol, the cushions feeling good on her sore thighs, although that was currently the farthest thing from her mind.
"You don't look well," Carol commented.
"Oh, it's nothing," Jen hastily replied. Lisa had taken a seat opposite of them, looking worried, which didn't help Jen at all.
"Your mother managed to get some time off so she could come see you and was heading home on an Air Korea flight," Carol explained, her voice quavering slightly as she spoke in an abormally soft tone. "There was a mishap over a Russian base and the airplane crashed. Now, I don't want to panic you or anything - it might not have been her particular flight, but I need you to call and see if you can get any information at all. They won't talk to me, reserving all their information for the immediate family."
Carol held out a piece of scrap paper with a telephone number scribbled on it and brought Jen into a tight hug. "Take some time to get it out before you call," Carol whispered.
