"What do you mean?" Jen asked, refusing to look at him, still hurting inside.
"A way for us to....be together, like we were a little while ago."
"I don't want to be a dog again, Sam. I have a life. So do you now. Being a dog would SERIOUSLY disrupt that," Jen told him, frustration evident in her voice.
"Not exactly us becoming dogs again, sweet," he chided her. "Just hear me out."
Jen sighed, "Okay..what's your idea?"
Sam began, "In the animal kingdom, it's common for littermates -brothers and sisters- to mate. If both of us are animals and have sex, the incest problem wouldn't come up, because it wouldn't even occur to us."
"Sam! I TOLD you! We can't go back to being dogs! Sure it worked one time, cross species, but we don't know that it always will!" Jen's eyes had teared. Why couldn't he leave this alone, she wondered.
"I'm not talking about us becoming dogs again, would you PLEASE get off of that topic? Just shut up and listen to me, okay?"
"Fine," Jen said, sulking and pouting.
"The secret to transform or dare is how specific you are. I've found a loophole. Now in a second, I'm going to ask you the question. Pick 'transform'."
Jen didn't want to do it. It scared her, thinking of the wretched game again. "Sam..I-"
"Trust me. It'll be okay."
"Ask before I change my mind, Sam."
Sam smiled widely. "Transform or dare!"
