The digital note

Aimee - who was torn between thinking of herself as the name her mother had given her and the name Bobby, which had no meaning to her what-so-ever - Stared at her baby sister Abby.

The young Anthropomorphic - Aimee didn't really know much about this word, but had heard her mother use it on a couple of occasions - dragon slept quietly at the moment, curled up in her bassinet. As Aimee watched her sister, the events of the past couple days raced through her mind.

In the last three days, Aimee had regressed back in age until she finally stopped at the age of four. As this occurred, her height and weight shifted to something more appropriate for her age, while her body both shrunk and took on some of the baby fat she had lost over the years. But the most confusing things of all - besides her sister Abby's transformation and the fact that their mother and babysitter acted like nothing was wrong - was the name Bobby.

Every once and awhile, Aimee would suddenly think that her name was Bobby and that for some reason she should be a teenage boy. Pondering this over, as the last bits of the transformation took place, Aimee realised something. Something she thought might be important.

Tossing the idea back and forth, failing to realise that her thoughts were also regressing back and that thinking in such a manner was getting harder and harder, Aimee suddenly realised that for some reason she only acted like a girl when she was addressed, treated or believed that she was a girl. And then, just as suddenly as the notion appeared, it vanished as Abby awoke.

As her sister began to fuss in her Bassinet, Aimee turned and running down the hall to find her mother, she failed to regrasp the notion that might have changed her life.
------

Across town, in a high-rise building, Tanya silently fumed about the audacity of what her husband had just admitted over the phone.

Unable to concentrate on her work, she turned her computer to the web and began to browse, hoping that something would come up to distract her.

As she signed into her e-mail, she paused when she saw that she had one new message. Clicking on the icon, she opened the message and read the following:

Problems in your life? Work? Social? Marital? Have you ever wished that just once you could do something about your problems? Want to change the world around you? How about the people you know and interact with?

Well, now you can. No matter the size: Big, medium, small or tiny...you can make the changes you want with just a simple wish.

'What's the catch'? you might ask. Well, there really is no catch. Wishes are guaranteed one hundred percent satisfaction. All you have to do is type your wish in the space below and sit back. You, and only you, will be aware of the changes (Unless you specify).

Feel free to make the wish as detailed at possible (Remember: The more details, the better). If you are not wholly satisfied with the wish, just delete this message.

Sitting in front of the computer, Tanya reread the message, and then grinning, she thought, "I'll teach that lying, cheating SOB about a thing or two," and then resting her hands before the keyboard, she clicked another icon and then began to type.
