"Do you think we should?" her dad asked.
"Well we should at least check the rules," her mom said.
"But do you think he would win?" her dad asked.
"It's worth a try, isn't it?" Heather said. "We can at least check
out the website, maybe he's a winner."
"Why not me?!" Hillary shouted.
All eyes turned to 11 year old Hillary. Heather was the one to break
the silence. "You want to be entered in a Pampers contest?"
"Yes!" Hillary said. "I can win! I'm a winner!"
Heather had only thought of Derek entering the contest. She hadn't
considered Hillary entering. She had never considered the possibility
of entering the contest herself either. Until now. If Hillary could
why couldn't she?
Suddenly Heather had an image in her head of herself in a diaper,
running, crawling and walking like the baby in the commercial.
Dancing in front of the TV the way her three year old brother did.
Maybe even sucking on a pacifier.
She liked the idea, but was also embarrassed to even think of it. It
would be so humiliating to have anyone, especially her family, see her
in a diaper. She definitely wasn't going to ask to be in the contest.
She tried to hide her emotions and told her parents, "Maybe she
could." Heather did her best nonchalant shrug, "The commercial said
any age."
"Well in that case we should enter you too," her mother said.
Heather blushed deep red. Part of her mind was ecstatic, but the rest
of her was as embarrassed as she had ever been, "No, I don't-"
"Nonsense. It wouldn't make sense to only enter two of you. Come
on!."
"But-"
"No buts." And with that her mother led the way to the computer. She
logged onto the website and entered Decker, Hillary, and Heather in
the contest.
