Kaylee looked over and down to see that Jennifer had barely moved. Either he was a really sound sleeper, or had no interest in dealing with the police. She ended up raising her head when she heard them knock again.
"This is the police," came a voice from outside the door.
The voice wasn't that loud, and neither really had been the knock at the door, but Kaylee had thought that it would have been more then enough to at least wake up her mate. She sighed and got up. It was still her home, and she would have to answer the door.
As she approached it, she began to hear the two officers talking to each other outside it.
"Hey Frank, didn't the call say that the guy thought there were animals in there?" one officer asked.
"Yeah, so?" Frank answered back.
"So do you think that animals will open a door because you say it's the police?" the first officer asked again.
"Well... no, but I'm pretty sure that it's only a pet or something in there," Frank replied, "I mean, my dog rarely, if ever, goes outside."
"You also own a Chihuahua," the first officer told him, "if the animals were making noises that were disturbing the neighborhood, I'd image that they're also big enough that they'd have to be left outside."
Frank was about to answer when Kaylee opened the door.
"Can I help you?" Kaylee asked quietly.
Both officers turned to see a seven foot she-wolf standing in the doorway. She was covered in reddish-brown fur and was well muscled, but still very feminine. They were also captivated by two of Kaylee's more prominent features.
"I'm up here," Kaylee spoke trying to draw their attention away from her breasts.
"Um, yes," Frank began to answer, "we've received a call about a disturbance here, something about animals howling and whatnot."
"And I'd think we've found our culprit," the first officer added.
"Oh, I'm sorry, that was just my mate and I," Kaylee found herself blushing, although neither officer could see that through her fur, "we got a little carried away..."
"And what have you done with Kyle Perkins?" the first officer demanded as he took a step toward the she-wolf.
"HE is me," Kaylee answered with a shrug, "my mate and I were playing a game."
The two officers glanced at each other for a moment. What stood before them was clearly female, and despite the fur, muzzle, tail, and triangular ears, was fairly attractive to the two officers. Kaylee wondered why they hadn't screamed 'monster' and attacked, but decided to let that go so her mate could rest.
"Ma'am, we are serious," Frank spoke, "we need you to tell us the truth. Where is Kyle Perkins? You're already looking at breaking and entering and causing a public disturbance, and you could be looking at murder if the boy has been harmed."
"I am Kyle Perkins," Kaylee answered, "or at least I was... as I told you earlier, my mate and I were playing a game, and well..."
Kaylee then gestured to herself, "this is the result of our game."
The first officer produced a set of handcuffs and then stepped forward.
"I'm afraid we're going to have to put you under arrest, miss," the first officer, "maybe after some time behind bars you'll give us an honest answer."
Kaylee caught the officer's hand with one of her own and then lifted him into the air in front of his partner. Frank began to look nervous and drew his weapon, but wouldn't shoot while the she-wolf had his partner.
"It appears that you don't believe me," Kaylee sighed, "I'm afraid I'm going to have to play the game with you to show you that I have been telling the truth."
"What game are you talking about?" Frank asked nervously.
"I'll show you," Kaylee commented as she tossed the first officer into his partner, sending both skidding through the grass, "Transform or dare, to the both of you."
