Erin's Mother could not believe her eyes as he stood on the doorstep to the family's home. Erin turned around several times as she cried over her son's complexion.
Erin told her of the old Chinatown shop and the man who sold him the special salve. He took off his shirt and showed the healed scares were gone and only smooth skin remained. It was a very happy new year that all looked forward to due to Erin's mircle.
In his old room he saw the toys of a rich lad growing up in a Scotland castle. His trains, model cars all still arranged neat as a pin on the shelves. All the toy from his early custom made rocking horse to the bronze tennis rackets from his high school wins.
As the family turned in for bed Erin retired to his room for the evening's application of the salve. His bedroom door locked for privacy he went about as usual the smeering of the salve. Odd it was tonight and maybe due to the humid air from the ocean but the salve dried very slowly.
Erin began to get bored with the whole process and wandered his large bedroom. At last the most of the salve had dried except over his butt, groin, and thighs. Forgeting the warnings he wandered over to his pet rocking horse he named Mike.
Mike was a fine steed which he had so loved since he was made of Oak covered in a true hide of some poor deceased Shetland pony. Long ago Erin removed the saddle from Mike's back and would rock about riding him bareback.
This time was not as in the past as Erin sat stradling his ole' mount a feeling of warmth began in his groin. Simply an odd feeling the warmth grew to a burning pain as he soon stood up.
Running to the bathroom Erin took a cold water soaked cloth and rubbed his butt and groin making it cool. Silk P.J.'s and the clean sheets of his kingsize bed he was soon asleep.
The bright yellow sun shone in his stained glass windows. A yawn and he bounced from the bed. Into the bathroom for a shower and brush those teeth he was soon dressed and down for breakfast.
The family readied for a big New Years party and all went their ways into town. Erin too went to the small town of Conor where he saw a Sun Tan shop. Wanting to look his best and most healthy self for the party he made an appointment for that day and the next five days to come.
Walking about he met his schoolmaster who could not believe his eyes about Erin's face. The grocery store clerk also was happy to see Erin and thought he looked even stronger than when last they met.
