The girls climbed out the car and went inside. After ordering and getting their food, they found a booth where they could have as much privacy as possible. Jennifer was in a foul mood, understandably so. She had finally thought that the day was going to end on a positive note, and then she just had to remember that Kyle had been talking with someone else. She really wanted to get mad at Kylie, but she had no reason to be feel that way. After all, Kylie wasn't Kyle. She was furious with Miranda, though. That little bitch was going to get what was coming to her.
"So, anyone have any ideas?" Jennifer asked. She was greeted with silence. "Don't everyone yell at once," she said sarcastically. Liz said, "You should be the one to decided, Jenn. She did this to you." Trish agreed, "Yea, Jenn, you're usually the one with the plan." Jennifer responded, "But this is so different. We're not dealing with pulling pranks or starting rumors. She starts something like this, we'll finish it."
Jamie had developed the best understanding of the curse. "Well the problem is how to get away with it all. There's a certain way of doing this. You can either transform her and make it that no one things something is wrong with her, or make sure that people are very much aware of a change." Not getting a response, she continued, "I think you want her to be humiliated, so you want people to know that she's changing. The only problem is how to get away with it."
Jennifer nodded her head while eating her french fries. Kylie had been too timid to suggest anything up to this point. She offered her take now. "You can always do what you did to Kyle," she said. She continued to flash a look of pain over her face whenever the name was mentioned. "Trap her in a series of dares that will make sure she passes back the curse, and that she won't do anything harmful or humiliating to any of us."
"The question becomes what exactly to do to her," Trish offered. "I mean, you don't want to invite her into our group I would imagine." Jennifer quickly said, "No chance in hell." Liz said, "Well I suppose you can change her into an animal. Again you might have problems with her ratting us out or someone looking for her if she disappears. I guess there are lots of things we can do."
Jennifer leaned back in the booth and yawned. "You know what," she said, "This has been a very long day. Why don't we just all go home and try to come up with some ideas? All of us, I want us to do this as a team." They agreed. "I'm willing to take a long time to plan this out if that's what it takes. She can't use the curse back on us, and she'll never suspect we know. That should work. OK, let's get out of here." They had all finished by then. They got up, emptied their trays and left.
Ten minutes later they were back at the school. They went their separate ways, agreeing that they would have some ideas by the next day. Jamie turned to Kylie and said, "I have to run home quick to get some things and tell my parents, of course. I don't think there's going to be a problem with them knowing you. I mean, your own parents did." They both chuckled out loud. "OK," Kylie said, "I'll see you back at my house."
With that Jamie hopped into her car and proceeded to drive home. Kylie opened her car, and wondered if she would know how to actually drive it. But she had no problems, as everything came to her second nature, as if she had been driving for the two years that Kylie's past dictated she had. She returned home at 9:00. Walking inside she gave a quick hello to her parents and said that Jamie would be there in a few minutes. She ran upstairs to get ready for Jamie's arrival.
