"Alex Harman?"
"Here" Alex replied, then went back to reading his science textbook. He was what most people would call a nerd, but he knew that his future was as bright as a Hydrogen and Helium reaction. As he was reading the textbook, he found a little note scribbled in the corner of a page. It looked like an experiment that he could try out. Luckily, they where doing chemistry today, so he just needed to sneak a couple of the chemicals he needed to do it when he was getting what he needed for the classes experiment.
"What are you doing?" Asked his lab partner, Christy Legra, the head cheerleader.
"Just looking at today's experiment" He replied, then started to listen to the teacher. When Mr. Edgar finished and let them get to work, he made sure he was the last person to get the materials. He got the needed materials and his extra things, then went back to his station.
Alex quickly started to do the scribbled experiment. He tried to be as subtle as possible, and soon after, he had almost finished it. He put the beaker on the flame at the table.
Suddenly, the liquid in the beaker exploded into a blue mist that filled the room. Everybody was coughing, as the mist made it hard to breathe. Once it was clear, Mr. Edgar came up to Alex.
"What was that?" He asked plainly.
Alex shrugged and answered "I must have done something wrong by accident." Mr. Edgar accepted the lie and continued with the class. It seemed to go by quickly, and soon school was over and Alex was heading home.
