It began when I made her clothes disappear

Back In Human Hands...

added 13 years ago BM O

With the only Minbari who showed you concern dead, you make the decision to return back to your damaged battleship. If you were to take one of the Minbari’s life pods, the humans might mistaken you for a Minbari POW. You run as fast as your legs will carry you to the shuttle bay where you find the vessel you served on still docked inside this vessel.
You think that if you were to pilot this craft out, the humans would not fire on one of their own kind…but then again…are you still human? Down the stairs and across the gangplank to the crafts door, you open it quickly and close it and then latch it so it will be space worthy. To the bridge, there you take the helm as you transfer all stations to your command. Looking out at the exit, you can see the red beams cut across the black void of space. With the vessel activated, you manage to navigate the craft out the opening, but once in space, you loose all control as the engines finally give out and leave you floating dead in space.
As the ship rotates, you turn slowly to see the Earth destroyers and then turn slowly to see the Minbari vessel on fire. You just sit there staring out the window as the slaughter continues. Who knows how many humans are dying on board…are they still human…have they undergone the same transformations you went through wither it be a gender transformation or surgery to inject machines deep inside your body. You just stare until the Minbari vessel goes out of range and you face the attacking human vessels.
As your craft turns around again, the Minbari vessel is falling apart. Watching longer, the engines light up and the ship explodes like a mini-sun until there is nothing more but floating debris. As the ship turns to face the human crafts, you manage to send out a beacon to the human war craft. As the silence of your tomb is interrupted, the voice of the captain snaps you back into reality.
“This is the Armageddon to the Churchill, come over.” says the captain.
You manage to turn on the com-link, “This is the Churchill to Armageddon…I need medical assistance, I managed to escape the Minbari, but I need medical aide.” You pled as you sit there in the captains’ chair off the Churchill.
“Is there any other survivors?” asks the captain.
“Neggatory, all survivors were killed when you blew up the Minbari vessel.”
The captain does not mutter a word for a moment, but then looks at you, “Stand by Churchill…we are bringing you aboard.”
As the Armageddon launches a series of metal grapples, the crippled Churchill is dragged over to the side of the Armageddon to be inspected for potential enemy hostiles. As the doors are open, the captain awaits your arrival outside, in the hallway.
“Welcome to the USS-EAF, I’m Captain Nero…you must be tired?”
“No, not really.” You manage to say as you step off the Churchill and onto the deck of the mighty Armageddon. “The Minbari who you liberated me from were quite…hell hostile…to a point if I must say truthfully.” You look at the crew and then at Captain Nero, “How’s the war going?”
Nero sighs, “Not well I’m afraid. As you just saw, it took twelve of your best ships to bring down a single, unarmed Minbari vessel.” The captain stops to talk to you face to face, “We need to know everything you learned about the Minbari during your captivity.”
You look forward and sigh pitifully, “Where do I begin?” you ask, “The Minbari are a force I’ve never reckoned with before. Their technology is superb to our, at least 1000 years if I must guess.”
“And how would you know this?” asks Nero.
You pause for a moment and then sigh, “I’ve seen there technology up close when I was aboard their vessel.” You pause to check the reaction of the captain then decide to continue, “My crew was capture and subject, along with myself, to some type of testing…possibly to see how we would respond to slavery when the Minbari come to Earth to enslave our kind.”
“What type of test?” asks the ships doctor, whom is a black man from the Bronx, New York.
“I don’t know, they would not speak in the common tongue…they are a primitive people with powerful weapons.”
The captain nods, “Yes, we already know that, but how then did you manage to escape when the rest of your crew were able not to do so?”
You pause for a brief moment, but decide that the truth will be the easiest, “The one guarding over me was killed when one of your weapons blast open a hole and threw both of us back. Luckily for me, I landed on nothing, but my captor landed on a shard piece of metal that killed my captor. I then made my escape.”
The captain looks over at the doctor then at you, “Very well, the doctor will look you over, and you’ll then report to me when the doctor clears you.” The captain turns and leaves with his security as you are left alone with the doctor.
The doctor looks over you and then directs you with his hand, “This way.”
“Thank you,” is all you manage to say. Your mind goes over the what-ifs that plague you. ‘What if the doctor finds out that I’ve been genetically tested on? What if the doctor can’t be trusted to uphold the Hippocratic Oath? What if…’
“This way please,” says the doctors as he leads you into the med-lab on board the USS-EAF Armageddon. “So you say testing…do you know what these test looked like?”
“No, most of the time I was asleep, the other time; it was either fluids or laser beams.”
“Laser beams?” asks the doctor as he scans you with a device to check your vitals.
“Yes, why?”
The doctor shakes his head quickly, “Ah…nothing, nothing you should concern yourself…just relax, you are safe now.”
As the doctor puts his files into his computer on your condition, the figures that come back are startling, beside human organs, you have developed at least two new organs not accustom to human anatomy. First, there seems to be a gland near the skull and there seems to be secondary arteries surrounding your heart. From what the doctor can tell, you’ve either mutated, or this was done of purpose. The doctor takes a quick glance at you and then decides to call Captain Nero.
The doctor pushes his link to call the captains link, “This is the captain…”
“Ah hi captain, this is Doctor Franklin, you should come down here and see this.” Says Dr. Franklin as he stares at your medical files.
This is about the moment when you feel as if your life is in danger; you must make a decision…do you flee or do you stay behind?
