But, try as hard as he could, Tyler simply could come up with a good way to express that which he wanted desperately to wish for. Tossing the pencil aside, he thought, "Dammit," and sat and stared at the note, wondering what he was missing.
"I want to be a girl," Tyler thought, "But I just don't know how to describe what kind of girl I want to be."
Focusing on this thought, Tyler went over all his knowledge of the female of the species, but in the end realised that his knowledge was pretty lacking...coming only to the conclusion that he wanted to be interested in boys, make-up, clothes and ballet...while at the same time wanting to be pretty average for a girl.
Standing up, he began to pace back and forth, trying to figure out what else it meant to be a girl, besides the stuff that was known and commonly flaunted on a day to day basis. Drawing a blank, he returned to his desk and sitting down, he stared at the note, trying to clear his mind of everything else. After a bit, Tyler decided to try his sister's room and see what information he could gain by entering it.
Folding up the note and sticking it back into his pocket he exited his room and walked down the hall. To his disappointment, his sister was in her room and instead he continued downstairs, thinking he might use the computer to gain what he needed.
But the moment he reached the bottom of the stairs, his father immediately told him he had chores to do and seeing no way to get out of the situation, Tyler just grumbled a bit and headed outside.
Hours later, his chores finished, Tyler still couldn't catch a break...for as soon as he returned to the house, his mother told him, "Dinner's nearly ready. Go upstairs and wash-up," and the disappeared back into the kitchen. Grumbling a bit more, Tyler headed upstairs to wash his hands.
After dinner, he still could get a break, as his father wanted him to have his homework done and promptly sent him upstairs. The one good thing that Tyler saw out of this was that his sister was also sent upstairs to work on her homework.
By ten he was just finishing his homework, but still didn't have a proper way to vocalise his wish. Taking the note out of his pocket, he laid it flat on the desk and stared at it. As he looked at the object, someone knocked on his door and then his father's voice could be heard, reminding him to take a shower before bed and to not forget to set his alarm clock.
Replying, "Yes sir," Tyler reached across the desk and with drawing a pencil, he wrote down on the paper before him 'I wish that tomorrow I would wake up as a female' and then folding the note back up, he stuck it between the pages of a book he was reading and headed for the bathroom to take his shower.
