At the rate she was reverting there was no time to lose. She needed the larger human's help. This was dangerous. She knew his kind was scared of her kind. But... she could still talk, right?
"Human!" She rasped. "Help... me!" She spoke the words, but it was getting harder to speak, to form the thoughts.
In alarm, Brendan dropped the vial in his hand, smashing it on the floor. He looked around the counter for the source of the noise and froze in horror when he saw the viper. The pit viper.
"Oh God." Brendan. "T-Th..."
"I... w-won't hurt youuu!" Vipress hissed. "Need help! Fassst!" She went wide eyed as she felt the shrinking pick up. She felt sleepy again, and she was tiny now. Getting close to her old size.
"Oh God!" Brendan stared at the talking snake in horror. The talking shrinking snake. Was it the weed he had just smoked? Shit. "W-What do you want?"
Vipress slithered towards Brendan fast, closer to the spray bottle. The boy jumped back. "Pink... possshuunnn...." She was almost there. Almost to the point where she'd fade away. "Sssspray! Meeeeee!" She thrashed and winced as her brain started regressing. "Fassst! Fasssst!" She looked at him pitifully, shrinking all the while. "Help!"
In a panic, unsure what he was doing, Brendan looked around the table for something pink. He grabbed the spray bottle and pointed to it nervously. "This?"
The snake hiss-nodded frantically, clearly no longer able to speak.
"Okay! God, hang on! Just... don't bite me." Brendan reluctantly stuck his hand out and sprayed a healthy mist of pink on the viper. The snake gasped suddenly, her eyes shot open, and she winced in pain as all at once she began to grow in size.
Now Brendan, still high as a kite, stepped way back in horror and stared at the spray bottle in his hand. On the counter, the snake stretched out and grew more powerful. Larger and much more powerful. The creature's wince of pain soon turned to obvious delight as she grew back to three feet and surpassed it, growing to almost four feet long.
Exhausted, vipress collapsed in relief, her tongue hissing twice. "Yesss..." She essed. "Thank you..."
