Tim's eye caught the sight of silvery carved pendant of a wolf's head displayed inside a glass case. He couldn't help but be mesmerized by it.
Madame Lumina walked over and saw what Tim was looking at. "Ah yes, the wolf pendant. A popular item with certain folks. It holds the unique ability to turn it's wearer into a werewolf under the moonlight."
"Really?" asked Tim.
"I never kid about my products," she replied.
Tim thought about it. Something like that would really put the scare into that jerk Mark. He had to have it.
"How much?" he asked.
"For you, I think ten dollars should cover it," she replied.
"Sold," replied Tim, handing over a ten dollar bill.
Madame Lumina boxed up the pendant and handed it over to Tim. "Have fun!"
"I will!" replied Tim as he ran from the store. Even though part of him doubted that this was real, he couldn't wait to try it out.
Later that evening, after what seemed like forever, Tim said goodnight to his parents and went up to his room, closing his door behind him. He pulled out the small box and pulled out the pendant. He walked over to the window and slid the pendant over his head, landing around his neck, the pendant winding up square over his head.
Tim looked up at the bright, full moon high in the sky and waited for something, anything to happen. It didn't take long. Tim felt a tingling wave after tingling wave coarse over his body, emanating from the pendant. He watched with rapt fascination as soft grey fur grew in over his body. His fingernails grew out into sharp claws.
His pants ripped and tore in places as his legs reformed and became digigrade, his toenails becoming sharp claws. Tim smiled, he couldn't believe this was happening. He tore off his t-shirt, exposing his furry top half, now with a surprisingly new amount of muscle definition. The final changes came as his ears came to a point and his face pushed out into a snout.
Tim checked himself out in the mirror and was shocked at the results. Staring back at him was a full anthromorphic wolf with dense grey and black fur with sharp fangs jutting from his lupine snout. He ran a clawed hand over his wolfish features. Yep, this was really real. He noticed the pendant had shorted, becoming almost a collar around his neck, most likely so it wouldn't get lost.
Tim ran over to and jumped out of his open bedroom window, landing on the lawn with a soft thud. He ran across the yard and into the woods behind his house. Once there, he finally let out a long, joyful howl he had been supressing until then.
"Hello Timothy," said a familiar voice behind him.
Tim spun around and saw Madame Lumina sitting on boulder.
"I see you're enjoying you purchase. I'm glad," she said.
Tim tried to respond, but all that came were a few gutteral sounds and growls.
"Don't try to talk. Werewolves can't talk," said Madame Lumina. "I knew you make a wonderful wolf boy. I just need you to promise not to hurt anyone. You'll be able to scare people and have your fun, but you have to promise me not to take it too far, okay?"
Tim nodded. He had no intention of actually hurting anyone. He just wanted to get even with that bully Mark.
"That's my good wolf boy," replied Madame Lumina, scratching Tim behind the ears, something he found felt really good.
"Have fun," she said, walking off, disappearing into the woods.
Indeed Tim was going to have fun...
