The next couple of days were a bit of a blur. The owner of the petting zoo made a half-hearted effort to find the owner of the new mare that he'd found, but obviously wasn't able to. Since I didn't want to become a problem animal, I went along with everything that he wanted me to do. I carried kids, let them pet and feed me, and was put up in the stable for each night.
As the days became weeks, it all fell into a simple routine. The old man even had plans for me, though I didn't know it. An old hand at horses and mares, he led me into a strange stall one evening and started working on a new harness. Before I knew what he was doing, I realized that he was putting me in some kind of breeding harness! I couldn't move or fight as he led his stallion pony Georgie into the stall. It took only a few moment for him to climb onto my back and penetrate again. After that, I was led back to my stall.
Rain came more than once, but always at night. The heavy door was designed well, and I couldn't get out into the rain, no matter how I tried.
After a few months, I wondered if it would even be a good idea. I had a foal in my body, I could feel it kick from time to time, and who knew what would happen if I turned back into a man now. I didn't know if the foal would simply cease to be, or it I would return to a man with a horse foal inside me, or even if I'd turn back at all.
I was only a few weeks from delivery when I suddenly had to make a choice. The storm clouds gathered once afternoon while we were outside. I could easily stand under cover and let the rains pass, or could just take a few steps into the falling rain and see what happened.
