"Neighboring worlds?" Jean asked. "Maybe we could ally with them."

"Wait." responded Greta "Carmen, are those neighboring worlds 'enlightened'"?

"Uh, no." responded the Sorceress Supreme. "Of the two closest worlds to us, one transformed the opposite way--it's now an all-male world. And the other is run by a fairly demented deity who's turned everyone on the planet into anthropomorphic animals--horsepeople, dogpeople, that kind of thing."

Greta made a disgusted expression at the idea of an all male world. "Maybe we should get a closer look at what's going on in Astara's worlds?"

"But what if that just gives Astara more information about us, and more reason to attack us?" Jean responded. "Maybe we should concentrate on building up our defenses."
