"I told you," Kyle said after a moment of silence had passed. "Transform. Or dare. It's your choice."
Jennifer bit her lip. "I don't understand..." she whispered. "That's not real."
"Tick tock!" Kyle said. "Time's almost up! Then you get both!"
"No! You're being stupid!" Jennifer said. "It's just some stupid fairy tale. A myth!"
"And time is up!" Kyle said. "Boy, Jenny, you really are stupid, you know that? You just don't know when to shut up and answer. Now I'm really going to have to do something weird to you. I have to pay you back. You always use me for your dumbass pranks...well, now, people are going to be using YOU!"
"What the hell are you talking about?" Jennifer asked. She was feeling a little uneasy. She wanted to hang up the phone, but it was as though some part of her couldn't.
"For your dare...you're going to go right to school, and not tell anyone about this call. You won't interact with anyone. Then you're going to go to the library, and move one of the comfortable chairs out of the way."
"That's the stupidest dare I've ever heard!" Jennifer said, rolling her eyes.
"And for your transformation..." Kyle said.
Jennifer gulped.
"You're going to turn into a chair! A very comfortable chair, one that people will love to sit in!"
"WHAT?" Jennifer screamed.
"I'm not finished! All of you will be transformed except your head, but no one will be able to interact with you, or hear you. You can scream all you want, but it won't do any good, and you'll be able to see everything going on, and you can still talk, but no one will hear!" Kyle took a deep breath, panting slightly. "And then, any girl that sits on you will also get the curse, and they'll turn into a piece of furniture too, and then you'll be able to see you, but no one will be able to see them, and they'll have the same effect on other girls! Tables, chairs, beds, any piece of furniture that's appropriate! And I'm the only one that can change you all back, or change what piece of furniture you are!" He panted some more. "Well, that was a mouthful, but I think I've covered everything!"
"You're demented!" Jennifer said. "Whoever heard of such a STUPID transformation?!"
"Let's see you say that in a few hours!" Kyle said. "See ya at school!"
Then he hung up the phone.
"A chair!" Jennifer said, hanging up the phone as well. "As IF!" She shook her head and went back to her room. She decided to change her clothes for the day. She took off the skirt, and pulled on a dark blue dress instead. It seemed to fit the day better. She'd worry about her cheerleader outfit later. It didn't seem that important.
She walked outside and got in her car, and then drove off towards school.
