The bull sat at the other end of the truck, back against the wall. As the doors closed and the vehicle entered motion, he was naturally the focus of the cows' attention.
Hannah immediately noticed what was happening. "Oh my god, we're all attracted to the bull!" She was unsure what to do. Could she try to communicate with him? Was she in competition with the others?
The bull turned to the three or four females in the truck and opened his mouth. "Hey."
This was responded to by two or three moos, and a distorted "hello" from Hannah, who was rapidly losing her voice. However, this was enough for the bull to join Hannah as opposed to the more others, who were clearly further down the line of their transformations than Hannah and himself.
"Is this hay taken?" He joked.
Hannah shook her head and he sat down next to her. Hannah could already smell him. He smelt powerful, and this hit her in a way no boy had ever made her feel.
"I think I'm the least far gone out of all of us, my voice is starting to go but I still don't have fur all over. I hope my horns grow a bit more too," he says. "Sorry, what's your name?"
"Hpannaph," was all she could manage, but they both found it amusing.
"I'm Alex. I guess I should get used to not talking. I wonder if there's another way we can communicate?"
Hannah was less interested in communicating and more interesting in getting to know Alex in other ways...
