Kat knew exactly what she was gonna do to Dan, knowing of a
transformation spell she read in one of mom's spellbooks. She
remembered it well enough, she figured, and seeing what it would do to
Dan would be nothing short of hilarious. She starting chanting, not
recalling everything immediately and stumbling at a few points, but in
her mind this would suffice. As she finished, a small beam shot from
her hands and a bright light enveloped a fearful-looking Dan. Kat was
already smiling victoriously, not noticing that the ray of light
between her and Dan hadn't disappeared, and that the light was now
also covering her. "W-what is this?", Kat stammered, "This isn't how
it normally--"
At this point both their bodies started wildly warping in all
directions before the spell started drawing them together, flinging
their respective bodies together into a single amorphous mess before
the effect wore off and normality returned...slightly. Part of their
body was still theirs, most notably the head, but for the rest their
bodies had been amalgamated into one. From the neck downwards, their
new body had the properties of both, any movement currently being very
difficult due to getting instructions from both heads. Their current
clothing consisted mostly of tatters, few of it having survived this
mishap.
Both started to get their bearing after the confusion of what just
happened, and gasped in unison as they looked down at their body.
"Kat...what is this, what did you do to me?!", Dan said. She humphed,
"I dunno, I was just trying to transform you for a laugh and I think
something went wrong. But forget it, I'm not sticking to you any
second longer than I have to, so I'll just cast a simple reversal
spell..." She once again started chanting, though this time nothing
seemed to happen. She tried it a few more times, never witnessing any
change in her current situation.
"Argh! Don't tell me that I've actually lost my power because of this!
There has to be a way, there has to be, can't let anyone see me like
this." Dan raised an eyebrow, "You? What about me? You ever think
about the problems this causes for anyone beyond yourself? And anyway,
can't we have mom fix this when she gets home?" Kat violently shook
her head, "No way, she is never to know this ever happened. Who knows
what she'd do if she found out." Dan sighed. "Then what do you suggest
we do?"
"First, let's make sure we can actually get anywhere like this. Either
stop trying to move on your own or help me stand." With a lot of
effort, they finally managed to stand and start moving, in search of a
way to solve this problem...
