You had been able to find your way back up to your room. It seemed like Angela was right behind you for as soon as you entered she said, "Put on your swimsuit."
"Where are we going?" you asked quickly taking your clothes off and putting your swimsuit on. It was a two piece bikini with a flower print.
"Oh I'm taking you to the beach," Angela said.
"I thought you were going to take me someplace special," you said as you put your dress back on.
"It's a special beach," Angela said with a smile.
"What's so special about it?"
"You'll see when we get there. At least I hope you will. Are you ready?"
"Yeah," you said as you slipped on your sandals.
"Lets go then," Angela said taking your hand.
When you got in her car you saw that she had everything you would need for the beach. After a short drive she picked up Nick. Once Nick was in the car he turned around and said, "I'm sorry man."
"Don't worry about it Nick," you said in as stern a voice as you could manage. "I got my wish."
"But you could have become even younger," Nick said looking gloomy.
"But I didn't," you said smiling. "I wouldn't have minded becoming a baby again as long as I was a girl. At least I'll still be able to grow up. There's a girl at the orphanage that won't ever grow older. She won't be able to experience everything a girl does as she grows up."
"You're really ok with this?" Nick asked looking a bit skeptical.
"Yes," you said, "now quit beating yourself up about it and be happy. I'm happy and you should be too."
"Well alright," Nick said managing a smile. "If you're truly happy then I can be happy."
Angela and Nick started chatting as you continued to head to the beach. Once you arrived at the beach Angela led you to a nice spot. There weren't that many people here. Once the towels were laid out you took your dress off and Angela applied sunscreen to you. "Oh you can see why this beach is special," Angela said smiling. "Come down to the water."
You followed Angela down to the water and still couldn't figure out why this beach was so special. That is until you saw a woman swimming come up to the shore. As she got closer you could see that she wasn't wearing anything up top. When she got right up to the shore she didn't stand up to walk out but kept on swimming. As she came up you saw the reason for that. She had the upper half of a woman but her lower half was that of a fish. She was a mermaid. Her scales were a golden orange. Her hair was a golden blond. She seemed to have a golden tan. Even her eyes were a golden color. "How are you Angela?" she asked.
"Oh I'm fine Katie," Angela said. "Nick, Tanya, this is a friend of mine Katie Blacksmith. Katie this is Nicholas Knight and Tanya Turner."
"Nice to meet you," Katie said.
"Nice to meet you too," you and Nick said together.
"So are you ever going to join us Angie?" Katie asked.
"You know that I can't leave the orphanage," Angela said. "I love the kids too much to do that."
Katie looked crestfallen and said, "I know. I have to ask when I see you though hoping that you'll change your mind sometime."
"Do you want to be a mermaid?" you asked looking at Angela.
"Just about more than anything," Angela said. "Katie can make me one but the only problem is that I wouldn't be able to walk on land. I'd have a fish tail permanently like she does."
"How can she make you a mermaid?" you asked.
"Want to take that one Katie?" Angela asked.
"Sure," Katie said. "I was transformed a couple years ago with the game. Part of it was the ability to make anyone a mer by unbirthing them. If I still had a turn I would be able to give Angie what she wants."
"I have a turn," you said.
"That's right," Nick said. "If you use it to make Angela a mermaid could you use it to make me a merman too?"
"I can do that," you said smiling. "Nick, Angela. Transform or dare?"
"Transform," Nick said immediately.
Angela hesitated for a half minute then said, "Transform. I hope you know what you're doing."
"I believe I do," you said. "Ok Nick for your transform you will be able to transform yourself into a merman and back to a human at will. The only exception is when you're underwater then for safety reasons you won't be able to change into a human. You will remain the same age as you are now and continue to age normally. Your transformations will not hurt but will instead tingle. This is your transform. Now Angela for your transform you will be able to transform yourself into a mermaid and back to a human at will. Whoever you unbirth will stay in your womb for nine hours before you rebirth them. This is your transform."
Angela smiled and said, "Thank you Tanya. Now if you want you can be the first one I change."
