The true power of his new abilities would soon become clear as Ty began plotting to make great changes in his life and world. Without resorting to childish pranks on old enemies, or careless tampering with the fabric of existence, he commited himself to what he imagined was a greater cause.
Looking at himself in the mirror on his wall Ty knew he must change his face, that he should become an idol of fear before all who saw him, if his plan was to work. To his satisfaction the reflection in the mirror warped and twisted; his frame became much larger, hulking and grotesque, horns jutting from his head as his eyes turned a burning hue of red. His skin grew hard as steel to the touch, and he smashed the mirror with a flick of his finger, now strong enough to throw a tank from its tracks.
He turned and ran full force into the wall across the room, smashing effortlessly through both drywall and brick. Plummeting to earth he left an impression where he landed in the yard outside. Confident of his ability to manipulate the physical, he now focused on powers of the mind. He marvelled as he walked the streets, unseen by anyone who happened to be passing by, as he focused not on being invisible, but on affecting the senses of all around him. He laughed a deep, roaring laugh that scared even him a little as he stopped filtering the senses of passersby, sending horrified civilians running in every direction.
Now he would use these talents for bigger and better things. He left his foster family behind, having no further use for them. He made it so that they would not remember him, laughing to himself as he wondered what they would think of the gaping hole in the side of their house.
Ty found that he could teleport himself at will, but only to places that he had seen, or been before, as he had to imagine himself there to acheive the displacement. Soon he travelled to the capitals of powerful nations and used manipulation to begin shifting their governments to his desire. Once he was rooted in a seat of power, he made a public appearance in Times Square, destroying the entire island of Manhatten in a fit of rage, using all of his powers and every bit of destructive imagination at his disposal.
The world-wide reaction was what one might expect. Ty gained instant notoriety and fame among a planet of fearful observers. All attempts to defy him were crushed utterly, and in the wake of this destruction many began to gather behind him and follow him as an angel of armageddon, or a god of sorts.
Ty did not turn to pure destruction though. In fact, his plan was one of many good intentions. Once he had the fear, if not the faith of the people, he turned to acts of benevolence. Beginning to get a better hold on his powers he changed the constitution of all humans so that they could live much longer, and less pain-filled lives. Considering the direction his race was headed in, Ty wished for all minerals to return to the earth, so that everything man-made seemed to crumble into dust. He allowed his subjects to begin reconstructing their civilizations, on the condition that they consider what they take from the earth, that they limit how much they take, and that they not endeaver to suffocate evething that is green as they had before. And so Ty began his rule over the earth, as the master of destiny over mankind.
