Jennifer took out a hand-held mirror out of her backpack and was shocked to see what happened to her ears. Not only had they moved to the top of her head but they were shaped like triangles and had fur that was the same color as her blond hair. She screamed and caught the attention of everyone on the bus. "What's the matter?", asked one of the students. "Isn't it obvious?!?", Jennifer shouted back in disbelief. "Except your pale skin, not really.", the student said.
As everyone got back to what they were doing, Jeniffer was panicking. "Why doesn't anyone notice the fact I have furry ears? Is it the curse? No! Don't give in to that creep's ramblings.", she thought. She was going to find answers soon enough.
Later, Jeniffer got of the bus and entered the school. As she walked down the hallways, no one seemed to talk about her ears. She knew this because her hearing had been amplified by them. She finally got to her homeroom. Before she could get her seat, Mr. Jones, her homeroom teacher, stopped her. Mr. Jones asked, "Jeniffer, where is your homework? Everyone else has dropped it off." Jeniffer hadn't done it, so she decided talk her way out of it. "I did do it, Mr. Jones.", she said.
But before Jennifer could say anything else, her body began to feel weird again. It was like her spine was stretching out. When the weird feeling faded away, she looked at the back of her body and discovered that she had a full grown tail. It had fur that was once again the same color as her hair.
As Jennifer starred at her new appendage, Mr. Jones said, "So what happened to your assignment? Did your dog ate it?" The last part got Jeniffer to panic as she asked, "Dog? Where? Where?" The class chuckled at this. Mr. Jones rubbed his temples and said, "I was joking. Please have better control of your instincts. As for your homework, it is clear that you don't have it. One more incident like this and you fail this class. Understand?" Jennifer saw she couldn't win this and said, "Yes, sir." "Good. Now go to your seat.", Mr. Jones said.
As Jeniffer sat down (her chair had a hole for her tail to slide through), she could no longer deny it. There was a curse and she had it. She loved cats but she never wanted to be one. Now she looked like she could be cosplayer at an anime convention. Not only that but based on her spazz attack and the use of the word "instincts" by Mr Jones, she realized she was starting to act like a cat as well. She wondered what was going to happen next.
