Rebecca tried her best not to let on that anything was wrong. Her mother kept giving her odd looks, but still, they managed to get through breakfast.
It was grating to be called 'Becky' though. She wasn't a kid!
Well of course, she was, but she didn't feel like a kid. And then she got another shock. It was Monday?!
She was certain that she met Ty at the mall on Saturday...how did she lose a whole day? And what was worse, she had to go to school!
The bus ride was surreal. She didn't belong here, and yet, here she was. Somehow, she knew things, like how to drive, when she couldn't quite remember when or where she'd learned them!
The other kids her age seemed so....immature. It sucked. And the older kids were just bullies. There was an older girl behind her who kept reaching up to pull her hair, which hurt like hell.
She wanted to slap the shit out of the girl, but she felt so weak and helpless!
School itself wasn't any better. She knew everything that was being taught, and her classmates, even the ones she'd gotten along with before, just got on her nerves. She had to get out of here!
She managed to slip out just before lunch. Where could she possibly find Ty? Wait, hadn't he mentioned going to school somewhere...oh yeah! Westview High!
Luckily, Westview wasn't too far away, although she'd have to be careful not to get picked up by a truant officer.
It took over an hour, but finally she reached the school, finding a spot to wait outside where no one would spot her.
