Josh looked back at his father/brother. It was still creaping him out
seeing them like that, but he figured that he would get used to it...
eventually. "Those two are at each other's throats. I'm going to bring
them back here if thats alright."
Owen nodded, "Better to have them here, so we can tell them in
person... the news."
Kyle just glared forward. "What news? There is no, NEWS. There is a
way to fix this you know. There has to be." Kyle tried to cross his
arm, but forgot he only had one, effectively making him more angry.
Owen sighed. "Go Josh... I'll take care of... my other half." With
that, Josh left out the front door. It was now silent, with the
joined pair looking in opposite directions. Finally, Owen turned
towards Kyle, "Look son... I don't like it anymore than you do, but...
we're stuck like this... and that's that."
"No... That is not all that. There has to be a way. I can't believe
that your just giving up." Kyle glared at Owen. "I love you dad... But
I will not be spending the rest of MY life attached to YOU." Kyle
grabbed the book, and started flipping through random pages.
Owen shook his head, "Kyle... what are you doing? Josh already looked
through that. There is no cure."
Kyle continued to search anyways. Though, he found no mentioning of a
cure... in any of the magical artifacts. All of the pages were about
the history and power of the artifacts, none of them even hinted to a
cure. Finding that odd, he turned to the last few pages in the book.
Skimming down, his heart skipped a beat. There, in bold letters was
the answer to his... their problem. "Dad! There's another book. This
is Volume I 'A Guide to Magical Spells and Artifacts.' We need Volume
II, 'A Guide to Magical Fixes of Spells and Artifacts.'"
