"I guess I'll go with a-whadya call it, an August?" Strange that a type of clown would be named after a month, it actually made her giggle.
The facepainter laughed too. "No, an auguste," she said, pronouncing it 'ah-goost.'
She wiped Jezebelle's face with a damp hot towel. "Gotta get all that makeup off of you before we start," she said, and also removed Jezebelle's nose and lip rings, although she left the earrings in place.
"Whatever," Jezebelle just shrugged.
As soon as the paintbrush touched Jezebelle's face, the goth girl felt a jolt that made her stand perfectly still. Quickly the woman painted white patches around Jezebelle's eyes and mouth. Maybe it was the 'special ingrediants' in the paint, maybe it was the pot she still had in her system, or maybe a combination of the two, but with each stroke of the brush the more silly Jezebelle looked and the more she liked looking silly.
Next the lady outlined her client's eyes with black eyeliner, shaded her eyelids turquoise blue, and lengthened her eyelashes with mascara. On Jezebelle's lower lip she painted a small black clown mouth that stretched into a wide, fixed smile. The lady then topped the white patches with wide, silly black eyebrows.
"Your skin is too pale, we'll have to liven it up a little." The facepaint lady painted what was left of Jezebelle's face bright pink, surround her muzzle with red blush, and painted three black dots, freckles, on her blushed cheeks.
As a final touch, the facepaint lady painted the end of Jezebelle's nose red. When she finished, Jezebelle's nose sinflated, until she had a bulbous clown nose-but she liked it, it made her look sooo funny.
The facepaint lady held up a hand mirror, showing Jezebelle her new face. Jezebelle giggled and stuck out her tongue-which still had the piercing she got two years ago. The facepaint lady gave Jezebelle's nose a squeeze, letting out a loud HONK! which made Jezebelle lauch some more. "How do you feel?" the lady asked.
"Hee hee. I feel-funny, hee hee."
