Maeve and Sinead looked down at what their father was holding. In his hands he was holding what looked like two fur coats. Sinead reached out her hand to rub the coat, rubbing her fingers through the soft fur.
"It's deer fur," their father said. "When i was out in Canada, the guys decided to go out hunting. Killed these two myself, one of the guys got the deers skinned for me and make into these neat blankets. Thought it would be a great gift for you due to the cold winters we have been having recently."
"Dad that's really cool! I can't believe you shot these yourself", exclaimed Sinead.
"Haha", their father laughed. "I got a bit of help from the guys up there, they were all seasoned hunters and i am a bit of an amateur. I am pretty sure that one was a buck and the other was a doe, i don't know which coat came from which though! They said that the coats are great for bearing the cold Canadian winters, i am sure they will keep you nice and cosy!"
"Thanks very much Dad", both girls said together each taking a blanket.
"We should both be getting to bed, it's getting late" yawned Sinead.
"It's no problem girls, you need your beauty sleep, i will see you both in the morning!"
Both girls went up to their father, hugging him and kissing him on the cheek.
"Night Dad"
Both girls went back into their room and got into their pyjamas, ready to retire for the night.
"We should sleep in these fur coats tonight, it's quite chilly", said Maeve.
"Good idea", said Sinead.
They both took off their duvets, dumping them to the floor next to their bed and lay their fur blankets onto their beds.
They both bid eachother goodnight and both curled up into their fur blankets, wrapping it around them covering up their whole bodies.
