Laura's mouth dropped open as she stared in stunned silence.
"See?" John chuckled quietly. "I'll bet she'd make short work of our shelter building."
In the distance, all eyes were focused on the shape of a morphic female moose. There was no mistaking her species, certainly no mistaking her size. Even from a distance, it looked like the big girl could dwarf Laura in height and humble Casey in sheer strength. She was tall, lanky, yet every pound of her body was solid rippling muscle. Not an ounce of fat, her thick hide pulled tight over sinew in the places where her shaggy coat of fur wasn't so thick.
Laura gulped. "What if she's not friendly? They're very... territorial."
"Only one way to find out, I reckon." John whispered.
"Well. I suppose." Laura stood up, gulped, and cleared her throat. The big moose woman was wandering through the marsh ahead, her head held down to watch her feet. "Uh, hello!" Laura called across.
The moose stopped, spooked, and shot her glance up to the Laura and the foxes. Her thick facial features registered alarm, and she visibly tensed. "Hello yourself!" The moose called back. "I thought I was the only one out here! You gave me a terrible fright."
"Sorry!" Laura cringed. "We didn't mean to scare you. We're just looking for others who have changed as we have."
"Is that so?" The moose stared quizzically. She looked down at her hooves, crossed her arms across an ample pair of breasts, and seemed to consider. "What deer travels with predators?"
The foxes seemed to shrink back at their sudden implication. "We're friendly!" Sandy called. "This is my mate. We're with an otter and a wolf."
The moose seemed to consider this and shook her head in amusement. "Strange day today."
"Quite!" Laura called. "Might we talk face to face?"
"Don't see the harm." The moose smiled pleasantly, and began tromping over. "I was getting a bit lonely."
As the larger animal drew nearer, the other three dropped their ears in disbelief. The figure of the moose woman kept getting bigger as she got closer, until Laura stood looking way up at a creature easily three feet taller than herself.
There was no doubting her strength now. Up close, the muscle tone and pure mass of the moose woman was impressive, her female curves strong and chiseled. From top to bottom, she was a goddess of astounding proportions, with huge heaving breasts.
The moose looked down at the little doe and her awestruck face, down at the cringing foxes gaping at the deer's side, and chuckled.
She leaned down and extended a giant hoof hand to the doe with dainty politeness. "I'm Margaret." She smiled. "And you three are?"
