Roy headed down stairs amazed at how realistic modern makeup has become. He thought gone are the days we just put on a bald skullcap and add a little bit of makeup for flair, his 14 year old Bobby did look like a 75 year old man. What was interesting is he even thought his son had grown, but Roy couldn't figure out how Bobby "changed" his voice.
He would have to think about that later because he was late getting breakfast ready. Today he was in charge of making the local boyscout troop his famous pancake breakfast. He was proud of his boys because they were awarded the most fit troop in scout camp the weekend before so he promised to fix them pancakes before school today. Not only would they get the treat, but he had planned on making enough for the boyscout fundraiser. The boys had each sold two pancake breakfasts to their friends.
Roy had always had a bad habit of cracking his knuckles, but stopped last year because he was beginning to show early signs of arthritus in his mid-40's. As he grabbed a couple of eggs and cracked them he noticed his hands start to flair up, but he didnt have time to grab any meds as he was running late. Soon he had his hands covered with flour and other ingredients.
Before he knew it Roy had completed 25 sets of pancakes, 10 for the boys, 10 for their friends, and the last 5 for his family. He had got done just in time for the boys to come pick up the breakfast's on their way to school.
Roy called his family down who quickly scarfed the food down and headed on their way to school and work. Bobby did not come down, so Roy packed his breakfast.
Being a stay-at-home Dad wasn't as easy as most people think, thought Roy.
Roy yelled upstairs,"Bobby, you're food is getting cold and we need to leave in 10 minutes to get you to school on time.
Roy thought to himself that he mustn't of got enough sleep the night before, he seemed pooped after making that breakfast... something he normally did on a daily basis. Roy, talking to himself, stated," I need to clean up my hands of all this flour and get Bobby to school."
He went to the downstairs bathroom thinking to himself that must of been some sticky makeup because it is taking Bobby forever to get done. As Roy washed his hands, he noticed the skin seemed loose, even worse as he looked in the mirror it seemed like he has aged 5 years. His neck had begun to sag even more and his salt and pepper hair seemed to have more salt and less pepper. This made him curious and he stripped down to notice the grey hairs had seemed to multiply from the day before. Thinking he was going crazy he marched up to Bobby's room thinking Bobby had somehow placed some of that makeup on him when he was asleep last night. He was freaked out how anatomically correct the makeup placement was and the thought of Bobby putting it on him. As he called out for Bobby again, he heard the old man voice from earlier. Still Bobby was a 75 year old man and he realized what was happening to his father.
"Oh shit!", said Bobby. "You must of come in contact with the ointment this morning. You are aging now too Dad!"
Roy, thinking this was some prank began to realize his hair has begun to fall out and the remaining hair was turning more grey.
Beginning to panic Roy asked, "What is happening? Why do I look and feel 15 years older? Did you give me Heroin?!"
Bobby, getting more and more impatient, smacked his Dad against the head and told him, "Snap out of it! I tried to tell you this morning, but you wouldn't listen. I got this ointment last night that was supposed to make me older and hairier. I was embarassed because i was a late bloomer... now I have hair and bloomed, but I lost all my youth in the process! The old man told me to use just a small amount, but I got carried away by the aroma and used the entire bottle. You must have contaminated yourself when you were touching me!"
