Dan was just about the explore his new domain, when suddenly a loud cracking sound filed his ears. "Riiiinnnnnggg, Riiiiiinnnnnggg" The house phone was ringing. Dan let out a loud squeek, his rodent ears were more sensitive for high tones now. He walked to the edge of his cage, and decided he would be able to crawl up against the rail to see whats happening.
With one easy jump he was able to push his face against the rail. He could barely see the open door to the hallway. "Coming, Coming" He could clearly recognize the voice of his sister. Dan could only see Kat's backside as she took the horn of the phone.
"Heya Jen! how is it going with your new pet brother? Mine looks so cute and furry" Kat turned in the direction of Dan, She formed an evil grin on her face as she saw the mouse looking at her. Dan was thinking just how big she really was! She hadn't been physically as big as he, when he was still human of course. But she had always had the leading upper hand. And now she had both.
"O Great, Kathy, I have turned Mike back into a male, He is still a mouse though. Chestnut brown" The voice of Jen was clearly hear able to Dan, probably because of his new ears. "Ww will take them to the vet and look if we can breed your mouse right? I just know Mike wasen't able to be the girl"
Dan was astonished even after all HE had been through, they still had that crazy plan of making him a parent!.
Kat turned around and Dan thought she took something out of a drawer, but he could not see what "Of course Jen, We have an appointment at 5 PM today at Doctor Marks, just the regularly check-up" Kat faced Dan again and she waved her hand "My brother still hasen't learned any manners, eavesdropping on us" Kat smiled "Well we see how she is after breeding" Jen said "I suppose we can still turn him into a other animal, I only need one pet, and I have mike now. But well, it's your pick"
"We will see." Kat made a gesture with her hand and the chamber door flew shut.
Dan couldn't hear anything. Jen was obviously happy with her pet and it seemed like she was not planning on turning her brother back. "I don't think Kat will be any different" Dan squeeked to himself. Even if he escaped, the world was not nice to a rodent, he probably would be killed within a day, If he only escaped when he was a dog.
Dan shuffled around in the hay. If he could hide himself somewhere good within this cage, then maybe Kat woulden't find him. He started to burry himself.
Then the door swung open and the Witch entered
