Mr. Owens was an old man of around fourty. He was bald with a small grey beard and wore all black. At first glance, he may have appeared as a wizard from the dark ages, but his glasses and black jeans made you think twice.
"Hello, Sarah. I didn't think you'd be here this early," Mr. Owens mused.
You whispered to Sarah, "He was expecting us?"
"Of course I was expecting you. You are in a frightful deliema," He said as he made his way over to the back. It was then you caught eye on something in the store you hadn't before. It was the tree.... it was behind the first display shelf and you didn't think to find it inside the house but there it was. Several mushrooms grew on the tree and you'd wondered what kind they were considering they were blue.
"I know why you are here. And you must leave. I'm afraid that it is too dangerous of a spell to create. I will not have you risk your lives for two already finished lives," He grumbled as he watered the plants.
"NOW LOOK HERE! This girl can bring her Grandmother and her sister back but you're saying you won't do anything to help her?" You protest.
"That is exactly what I am saying, young man," He seemed to excent on the 'young' and you felt insulted.
"Now, unless you have anything else, I've got errands to run," He paused and listened for anything more from either of you and after hearing nothing he dissapeared behind the counter and through the door.
You held Sarah as she grabbed you for support. She no longer cried but her distant look made you want to hold her.
You looked around the store for something that might help you and Sarah. Your eye caught hold of...
