"The pool here is fine. Think you carry me down there, big boy?" she says with a sly grin.
It's actually a reasonable question, but you think you can manage. You deciede between the pool and the rain that you should leave anything not waterproof behind so you deposit your keys, wallet, and cellphone on Lydia's dresser. You don't bother putting your shirt back on. You also grab a couple beach towels out of her closet.
You scoop Lydia off the bed. She wraps her arms and her flexible tail around you. She's a little heavier than normal with the mermaid tail and larger breasts, but you can manage. You carry her out of her bedroom and very carefully down the stairs.
You reach the glass sliding door the back porch. The pool is just outside - a typical pool on a screened in back porch. It's still raining. You're briefly stopped by the door and wonder if you'll need to put Lydia down to open it, but she helpfully reaches out and slides it open. You walk onto the pool deck and turn around so Lydia can close the door. You're careful not to bump into anything with her tail. She tosses the beach towels down by the door.
You look at the pool (and briefly eye the attached jacuzzi with some wishful thoughts), but with the rain falling and your beautiful girlfriend in your arms you're taken back to your first date and dancing in the rain. You smile and look down at Lydia. She's smiling too and you can tell she's thinking of that same moment.
"I love you, Lydia" you say.
"I love you too."
You pull Lydia closer and she holds you tighter as you share a long, deep kiss. And then you break it to toss your mermaid girlfriend into her pool.
