You dive for cover berating yourself. You have a sixth sense when it comes to this but you let yourself be distracted. You were also surprised that the guns emitted an actual beam of visible light like a blaster bolt. A pink shot went over your head and you put your mind on the game. Over the next hour you dodged the pink beams and fired your own. You stop behind a wall to catch your breath and a guy comes up next to you saying, "New guy huh. Well we'll get you suited up after the match assuming you're still a guy."
"Suited up?" you asked with a quizzical look.
"Oh sure," the guy replied. "You'll need the proper gear to continue playing. Take this for example." He showed you a device on his arm that showed the number of males left in the game and the number of females with a white zero between them and a timer on top. "It allows you to know if your side is winning or not," he continued. "Right now we're even at ten a piece. It also shows how long there's left to play which is a few minutes. The white number is how many have been changed but not yet back in the game. Once hit you're out for five minutes and have to remain where you are. Your gun won't work until the time's up."
"Well I don't know if I'll continue to play after this," you said with a shrug. "The carnival won't be here much longer I don't think."
"What carnival?" the guy asked.
You were about to answer when you felt someone taking aim at him. "LOOK OUT," you yelled and pushed him out of the way. You had hoped that you would get out of the way too but you miscalculated and got hit. A burning sensation raced through your body and you closed your eyes doubling over.
Close by you heard the guy fire and say, "Sorry but I gotta go. I'll try to change you back before the end of the match. Just a word of advice before I go though. Don't let yourself get hit on purpose or you'll be punished." You heard him run off and leave you where you were.
The burning sensation subsided and you opened your eyes. The first thing you notice is that there's long hair in you field of view which you realized is your own. The next thing you notice is that you have breasts and your clothes have changed. You can feel the bra that's supporting your new breasts. Your shirt hadn't changed much except the buttons are on the opposite side. Your pants felt tighter in the crotch and you realized your underwear did too. You looked at your arms and saw they were a little slimmer as were your hands. Your eyes were drawn to the gun and you couldn't help but notice that all the options were grayed out.
You looked around as you wait for the five minutes to expire. You hadn't needed the warning from the guy about not letting yourself get hit. You were on the girl’s team now and you would do everything you could to help them win. Looking back at your gun you see the Venus symbol brighten. You guessed that the five minutes were up and you set off to change some boys before time expired.
