The guy checks on them a couple times as the ferry cruises the 45
minutes to Hedonia. He gives them passes to Hedonia Plunge Water Park
which includes free locker rentals.
"Thanks, Cap'n, but we don't have suits," Josh said starting to hand
back his ticket.
The captain laughed, "Suits! Never you worry about that, Hedonia
supplies whatever you need. It's an all inclusive sort of resort." He
winks knowingly, and disappears again.
When the ferry docks, hundreds of young men push and shove their way
on to the dock.
Jesse remarks, "Where did all these guys come from? They weren't on
the dock when the ship boarded."
"Maybe on the upper deck? We didn't go upstairs. Perhaps a charter
group was already aboard. Who cares? Let's go find the water park.
Look there's an Info booth," Josh replied.
The two struggled through the crowd. There were dozens of young men
clamoring around the information booth. The dock and pedestrian way
away from the boat were narrow and lined with various shops and
kiosks. Jesse and Josh were repeatedly separated as they moved through
the sea of living flesh. Jesse commented, "Where are the girls?"
Josh looked back at Jesse under some big guy's sweaty armpit crinkling
his nose, "I dunno. Maybe in there?"
He pointed at one of the shops on the side which already had a line
formed to enter. The flashing neon proclaimed, "Girls! Girls!
Girls!"
"We'll have to go back there later," Josh said as he caught up with
Jesse as they were swept through the crowd to the information booth.
The man behind the counter looked just like the captain of the ferry,
except he wore a red and white striped jacket over his hairy bare
chest, a straw hat on his head and chomped on a cigar as he talked.
"The Stables are up the road and then left on Stallion Lane. Just
follow it to the end," he told one fellow. Another group of young men
he told, "Follow the road to the roundabout, take the path marked
Dance Hall Drive, you can't miss it." Others he said, "Ah, yes, the
billiards tournaments are up Dance Hall Drive and then down Ball
Road." He looked straight at Jesse and Josh, and before they could
speak, he said, "The Hedonia Plunge Park is straight up this road pass
through the roundabout and follow Splash Street. You can't miss it!"
"How did you know where we wanted to go?"
"Captain, is that you?"
He laughed, "From the tickets in your hands of course! Do I look like
I'm dressed like a captain." Then he turned to answer the Mexican boys
next to them, "Chicos are you blind? The strip club's right there!
You just passed it!" He pointed to the line of men by the flashing
neon sign. Then he pulled out three hot pink tickets and handed them
to Mexicans saying, "Here 3 free lap dances on me!"
"Gracias!" they said as they pushed their way back through the
stampeding lemmings.
Jesse and Josh found themselves caught up in the throng as they poured
pass coffee houses, candy stores, taverns, wine bars, bier gartens,
weird sex shops, cinemas, arcades, bait shops, and more. Suddenly,
they were in the great roundabout it was a big as Picadilly Circus,
there were signs everywhere.
"Look they have a circus, Josh!" said Jesse pointing at a banner with
an arrow leading up one of the byways.
"Maybe later I'm hot and sweaty. Let's get to the water park first,
then we can try some of the other stuff. That guy must've been the
captain's brother."
"Ooh, Carnivals that way! And Sport Fishing that way! Ah, here's
Splash Street & the way to the water park."
The crowd was thinning out a bit, as they lost boys to the various
shops, bars and byways as they had moved away from the dock. But
there were now guys who hadn't been on the ferry that were pouring out
of the buildings and lanes, so it was pretty dense with male sweat.
Jesse brushed up against Josh and whispered, "I still haven't seen any
women - just signs for them. You think this is a gay resort?"
"Nah! Whoever heard of a gay resort with women giving lap dances at
it?" Josh replied, "Probably too early for the girls anyway, and what
girls do you know who would go to a video arcade, smoke shop or strip
club? I bet there'll be some at the water park though. I saw a sign
that said to Fashion Plaza - bet there are more women there."
"Yuck a mall? Let's try the water park first!"
"Look there it is!"
A man in a bright skin tight blue, white and sea foam green spandex
suit was taking tickets. Jesse and Josh got in line. The man took
their tickets and directed them to the locker room. The guy seemed
like a younger version of the captain and the information man. He was
about their age they thought.
"Where do we get swimsuits?"
"Suits? At the water park? You do know Hedonia is a clothing
optional resort," he said nodding at a couple of naked guys walking
by."
Josh immediately began wiping his hand on his thigh. He had thought
he'd felt more than one penis slap against him in the melee of guys
moving up the dock. He stammered, "B-bu-tt, what if we want t-t-o wear
suits?"
"Oh, after you put your stuff in the lockers and shower, the towel boy
can help you. Now right through that door is the locker room. You can
use any open locker. The man at the door will give you locks. Now move
along, we've got a line forming."
Jesse and Josh enter the locker room building. Jesse asked, "Where's
the women's locker room?"
"Douche, didn't you see the building on the opposite side of the
entrance. It's symmetrical, so it must be the women's locker rooms."
They jostled one another as they passed the first row of lockers, all
were padlocked. Then the next aisle and the next. How many people
were in the water park?"
