We enter our story as Zach wakes from his dream to the persistant drone of his alarm clock.
Slamming the palm of his hand down on the morning offender, Zach slowly sat up and prepared himself for yet another ordinary high school day. At least, as ordinary as they could get for him, anyway.
Granted, he had long since accepted his strange curse/gift, as had most of the people around him, but it often wound up doing more harm than good. Never was that point driven home with more certainty than during his cleaning. Not being able to come in contact with plain, pure water at any time, Zach always had to wash with only a bar of soap. Actually, it wasn't so much washing as it was lathering and hoping that water vapor and skin oils would be enough to clean with.
After taking his time in the bathroom, all his work soon came to naught as his little brother Greg had previously prepared another water balloon. Before Zach could dodge, the water was already upon him. By the time his vision cleared, he could tell that this time he had turned into a girl. It wasn't easy, never knowing what kind of transformation he might get next.
And it was only going to get worse.
