As soon as Lydia's father returned from the bathroom, Lydia asked for the keys to the car and hurried outside to grab her sweatshirt. The request was so quick her father didn't have a nice to notice anything amiss in her appearance. Lydia returned to the table wearing the sweatshirt and explained it away that the restuarant felt a little cold to her. The long sleeves and high collar covered the extended spandex on her neck and arms; her jeans kept the spandex on her legs from sight, though they felt a little tighter than they had when she'd put them on after the swim meet.
Lydia spent the rest of lunch being extra careful, drinking her water through a straw without touching the glass. The meal passed without any further incidents.
Leaving the restaurant eased the tension.
"Will you be coming home with us?" asked her mother.
"We were going to spend some time together this afternoon, mom" replied Lyida. "I've spent so much time swimming this weekend we haven't really had much time together" she fibbed. Her parents were still unaware of the previous night's events.
"Have fun and be careful" said Lydia's mom.
"Don't forget it's a school night" added her father.
Lydia hugged her parents goodbye then they drove off. She hoped they didn't notice anything different about the hug thanks to her expanded chest.
You and Lydia got in your car. She removed the sweatshirt to check on the changes. The spandex was just visible above the neckline of her shirt and extended down her arms past the end of her shirt sleeves almost to her elbows. She unbuttoned her jeans and pulled them down to reveal the spandex had spread almost to her knees although it was not yet pulling her legs together.
The two of you had the rest of the day together. Where to go? Maybe that swap meet was still going on and you could find the lamp again? Or perhaps you shouldn't bother...
