Marco had just climbed out of the pool and grabbed a towel from his lounge chair, when he just wandered around the concrete deck for a few minutes. One of his other teammates approached him as he was just getting around to drying off his hair and his face.
"Hey, Dolphin. You made some good time doing the breaststroke and the butterfly, man!" he said to him.
“Oh… Thanks, Tim… I… Uhh…” Marco stuttered, before he froze.
Marco was suddenly overcome by an odd, tingling feeling, thanks to Ty’s spell. Since Tim had called him “Dolphin”, Ty’s magic kicked in, and Marco’s muscles experienced a small growth spurt! His biceps inflated just slightly, and his pecs suddenly pushed out half-an-inch farther than before.
“Are you alright?” Tim asked him, noting the confused look on Marco’s face.
“Yeah… I just felt a weird thing come over me… I don’t know what it was… Like a chill or something…”
“Don’t get sick on me, dude! We need you on the team! The state swimming competition is two months away!” Tim reminded him.
“I won’t get sick, dude! I promise!”
“Good! See ya later, Dolphin!” Tim smiled, as he walked away.
Once again, Marco was overcome by a weird prickling sensation throughout his body. This time, his calves slowly swelled a little bit, like balloons being filled with air, and Marco’s quads grew just an inch wider and thicker. But the growth was just enough for Marco to notice a difference.
Marco walked around the pool deck before quietly slipping into the locker room. There, he walked into the wash room, where the toilets, the lockers, and the sinks were, along with the showers and the towel racks. A large full-body mirror was placed against the wall, and Marco headed straight towards it.
As soon as he noted his reflection, he discovered that something had changed. Had he gained some muscle?
“Hey, Dolphin!” Ben said out loud, as he walked in the locker room. Another member of the swim team, Luke, followed right behind him. “Hey, Dolphin!”
Right away, Marco was hit by that familiar, odd, tingling feeling again. The tingling sensation almost seemed twice as powerful this time: It felt as if every muscle in his body was growing again!
“Dude! We might ask you to participate on the diving team! Can you help us?” Luke said to him.
“Yeah! We’re one guy short! Plus, we need one more guy to make a splash for us!” Ben laughed. “And you seem like the type of guy who can make an impact in the pool!”
“Sure… I guess…” Marco replied.
“Thanks, Dolphin!”
“Great, Dolphin. I knew we could count on you!”
As Luke and Ben left, Marco felt that weird tingling again! This time, it was all over his body again. When it was over, Marco turned around and stared at his reflection in the mirror.
“Whoa!!!!” Marco gasped. He had grown again!
Marco now began to wonder how big he was going to get?
