Keula watches the antics with Bryan and the humans in pure delight. “Fix him this time!” he barks out only to give a sheepish look when he finds Amber giving him a questioning look. “Only way to settle some males who will not work as part of the pack.” He tells the bitch and the other dogs listen closely. Most of the males in the team being sons of Keula from different litters watch their father closely.
Iiumni strangely keeps silent as if fearing to lose his own orbs now that he has a bitch interested in him. But as he notices the team of Harry looks to be all huskies he casts glances at the roughly unseasoned group. Idle thought of how easy it would be to take the leadership position over such a young group of dogs’ crosses his mind.
Becky noticing for once the husky beside her does not have his attention solely upon her gives Iiumni a hard nip which brings a yelp from the male and a canine snicker from the his teammates.
Sounds of the approaching sled team getting closer the musher blinks then stares. “What did you say Harry?” He asks while idly fingering the leather straps of the canine harness in his gloved hands.
“Nothing!” the youth blurts quickly not about to have the elder laughing at him for the crazy idea that dogs can talk. “Got one of those leather collars on you to make this fellow easier to handle?” He asks puzzled over the reactions of this dog. All his own dogs can not wait to get in harness for a good run. The only unhappy dogs are those who get left behind. And yet this malamute seems to hate the harness. Is he just a pet Harry wonders starting to have second thoughts.
