Jake and Kel had finished in the bathroom and were about to head back downstairs to finish watching their movie, when Jake stopped in the hall. Kel gave him a funny, "What's up?"
"Well... it's nothing really..." Jake looked as though he were thinking, and trying to come with something to say. "it's just... I was wondering if... maybe there was like, a multiply spell in the book."
"Multiply?"
"Ya!" Jake suddenly sounded enthusiastic, "Because in back there... was a little strange."
Kel looked disgusted and stuck out his tongue "Ew gross! Ok sure, sharing one isn't that great, but wanting multiple?!"
Jake started laughing and shook his head, "No dude, that's totally not what I meant." Jake was laughing so hard, he had to catch his breath, "I meant arms!" Kel gave him a confused look, so Jake explained, "Back there, you needed my help to get our pants off. But! If you had another arm, that you could use, say, on my side. Then we wouldn't have to help each other with every single little thing!"
Kel thought about it for a minute, and was coming around to the idea, "Hmm, I guess you're right. We'd still be in a body together, so we'd have to work together for walking and stuff. But be able to control two arms would help with all the little stuff." Kel and Jake's eyes met, followed by similar grins.
They practically ran into their bedroom and flipped through the book, where they found many multiply spells. Ranging from objects as big as a house, to things like pencils, or batteries. After searching for half an hour, they found one for humans, but under that was another list of potential things. thankfully, "Arms" was at the top of the list.
Jake turned to his little brother, "Can you do it?"
"I can try..." Kel sounded unsure, but went ahead and read the spell off. At first nothing happened, but just like when the brothers conjoined, suddenly there was glow, and some floating runes, and before they knew it, two extra arms grew from their body. One underneath the other, on each side.
"Cool!" Kel cheered, and went to lift his arms into the air. He found that the top arm on his side, which he had originally, moved, but it was the lower arm on Jake's side that he could control.
Jake gave his new arm a test run, and found out the same thing had happened to him. "Huh, that's not quite how I thought that would turn out."
Kel just shrugged his shoulder, and Jake's lower one, "Oh well. At least now we don't have to fiddle around with stuff together." They both smiled. They closed the book, and hid it under Kel's bed again before heading out of their room, and back down stairs.
